The Fanning Cap- What do you think?

To be honest, I've only fanned people's work who I've read.  I don't think I've ever fanned people randomly. I did fan all of my old friends from booksie (like Noelle, katie, Ryder) but I already knew they were damn good writers.

And I stopped fanning people because  I already get 1,000 emails from watt pad a day.  And I don't really even read 85 stories. I read like less then five stories at a time because I generally like to write or respond to fan mail.

LOL But if I bother to comment,  then you know I love your stories to pieces.

So people always ask me, "Can you fan me back?"

Actually, I can't. My email might exploded and I'm not sure if i like any of your stories.

And it's not like I have much time to read, either.  People always IM for questions. Apparently, I'm a non-offical watt pad helper.  Because every day, it's "Lexy, how do you upload a picture?" Or "Lexy, how do you  start a novel?"

I don't mind that much, but it can be overwhelming.

And then someone asks, "Hey can you get me a lot of fans? I want thousands of fans!"

It's as if I have some magical power over my fans. I'm pretty sure it doesn't work that way.  You could write your own novel, update more, and then you would have more fans than I do.  Oh, and go read my watt pad journal if you want my advice! lol Do you know when I tell people to read my watt pad journal that they refuse to do so? lol.  Whatever.

And if people really want fans, they resort to fanning accounts. Fanning accounts is where people randomly add other people.

When I see a writer with 13,000 fans that has fanned 14,000 people, I know that people are just fanning back to be nice. People are fanning that writer because they want that write to fan them.

It's kind like on facebook. People send out these random post on facebook that say 'Click this and you will get 10,000 fans! You can have 100 fans in one hour!'

NOOOOOOOOOOO! NOOOOOOOOOOO!  Just stay away from me. lol It's better to have 100 fans that care about your work then to have 1,000 fans that don't even know your name.

Wattpad has a new rule, you can't fan more than 1,000 people.   However, a writer  can have a unlimited amount of fans. Thank you for this rule for watt pad.  I love you watt pad!

<3 What do you guys think of the new Rule? Fair or not? Or do you think you can honestly follow 1,000 stories & people?

OH AND DID YOU KNOW WHERE YOU HAVE AN IGNORE BUTTON?!?!? It's like a block button! You can block people if you so choose to which I guess is convienent! :D I wouldn't go around blocking potential fans but hey that's just me! XD:
