So... You want to be Popular? (FINISHED)

MARKETING 101- The very very basics

 Side Rant: So, I decided that I was going to check facebook for any new messages or friend requests. So, I respond to  a few messages and what not. And Before I log off, three people call me.  And I look at the clock and I'm like, "What the fuck?" 
Number one, I didn't know you could call people from facebook and I'm pretty sure I don't have any 'real' information on my page.  So, I think people could call  my computer? 

Number two,  I think it's a little inconsiderate to call me at one in the morning.  Okay so maybe you live on the other side of the earth and didn't realize that I'm in a different time zone. But hey, you should know what time zone I'm in if you are going to call.

Number three,   Okay that is just a little weird. Couldn't you at least ASK if  I wanted to talk to you on the phone? I don't like talking on phone with people I know...let alone strangers. 

  Oh and what is with people sending you the same APP invite on facebook fifty times?  NO, I don't want the ghost hunters APP. If you like ghost hunting, good for you.  DAMN IT< THEY JUST SENT IT TO ME AGAIN!  Not kidding here, kiddies. lol Hey didn't that rythme?

Marketing 101- The Very  VERY Basics  

Tons of people have messaged me for a chapters on titles and covers. So, I'm going to do a single chapter dedicated to marketing.  I hope this will be helpful for everyone.  I have already talked about the importance of cover but I will do another chapter on it.  

Just for watt-padders- Some basic info that you need to know 

The first piece of advice is: Write an original story and not what you think will be popular or hit the wattpad what is hot list.   Some people read a 'popular' story and think that story is great. Then they will write a story with a similiar plot. Yeah, that is not a good idea and that is called  creative copying.   Have a little more faith in yourself. People will appreciate you more for a original story. 

Summaries: 

I'm amazing about summaries. Yeah that is right, I said I'm amazing at summaries!  I can't exactly write a proffesional summary and I don't try too.   But I can write a short summary that will catch the reader's attention.  It's not hard. 

*Take a powerful quote for the book.

* If you're writing romance,  write about one of the steamiest scenes of the novel.  

* Keep it short.  I don't know why people feel the need to write a page!  Don't bore the reader. We don't need to know the whole back story of  the character before we PICK up the book. 

  Covers For Romance Novels or Young Adult: 

Please, check out the first chapter of this novel for  more advice on covers.  But I will say you don't need a high quality cover to attract readers. You just need a striking picture that somehow captures the theme of your book.
