I don't reading writing guides that are 100% negative! They're are plenty of talented writers and they deserve to be recogonized for their hard work! I need to think of some more positive posts! If you have any ideas, let me know in the comment box! This are my top five things I admire in a writer:
1) If I love a story, I want to read an update at least twice a week. If a writer can pull off even more updates then that then I'm hooked to the story!
2) I love writers who know how to use colorful description! Now, I have lots of favorites stories in my reading list, but I have read very few writers on this site that know how to create good imagery. Any idiot can fill a page with what a character is wearing or describe the appliances of a house. But then are very few writers that create artistic sentences that flow together and paint a vivid picture for the reader.
3)Good Dialogue. I can't not stress how important Good Dialogue within a story is! I like to find stories with original, quirky lines! Cliche sentences come off as fake and unrealistic!
4) Realistic Characters:
Humans are flawed, therefore, fictionical characters should have some flaws. I don't want to read about a guy who looks completely perfect and acts like a saint.
I want to feel as if I'm reading about real people. Good fiction has to be somewhat based on the people we encounter in our real life, right?!
5) 'A Good Twist' : Now don't get me wrong, I love a good cliche love story but they're are days where I want to read a original piece! I don't like being able to predict a novel from beginning to end. I want to be suprised with a shocking twists. I'm stilling waiting for a writer to write a cliche story, but then at the last minute, throw in a twist that will change the pace of the story and shock the readers!
I doubt I will see that story on wattpad!
