15th chapter

Maymay's POV

Three days ang naging conference namin, kabilang ang ibang company. It's only about how to help each others without putting anyone down, it's about cooperation. Well, that was a good move. A strategy of marketing , cooperation and communication. As the CEO,  I have to guide those who are under me, I was handling too much obligation so there's no room for mistakes,if there is, on that moment it should be fixed or else the whole company will suffer. And any decisions I make must be approved by the board, where Edward belongs. Hard to accept but yes...I was under him. He has the power to terminate or fired me. But through three years, I, being the CEO knew that I have the guts to be in this position. I'm not praising myself but I know my capabilities. 

But now, working with Edward?  Is a big question for me. I saw an enemy in him. I remember what my mentor told me, those who are quiet or silent person are the most dangerous ones.

"Ladies and gentlemen, alam naman natin ang purpose ng conference or gathering is a better word, is about being one. Unity. Helping each other for the better. Masyadong toxic pag nasa office na tayong lahat right?",speaker said.

"Right", everyone said in unison.

"Ok...now let's unwind and forget about work for a while. We will be having a competition, not about work, it's about having fun...is that alright guys", speaker said again.

"We're on", sabi ni Mr. Cruz. One of the CEO's na umattended sa conference from other company.

"One said yes...how about the others, I didn't heard anything?", he's asking everyone to participate.

"On behalf of everyone in here...I'd would like to say, Yes...We're on for the challenges. I think it's a good idea, let's be kid again and have some fun. Please agree everyone", sabi ni Mrs. Maegan, from other company.

"So, can I hear your Yes", the speak asked again in a louder  voice

"Yes...", everyone agreed, even me.

"Ok, so everyone agreed...actually kahit di kayo mag yes...the game were already listed", everyone smiled and others laughed when we heard what the speaker just have said.

"As I said...it's about unity and cooperation....this game is between two teams only...girls versus boys", speaker continued.

"Wait...", protest ng isang ginang na medyo may edad na.
"It's not fair, mas marami kayong mga lalaki compared sa amin na mga babae. How can we win those games", naka taas pa ang kilay na sabi nito.

"That's the point...your only few compared to this man around here. But woman are wiser, now it's your turn to proved that woman are tough, brave and never say no", speaker said.

"Don't worry ma'am,  even though we're all girls, we can be boys for this game...ladies are you on", sigaw ng isang employee.

"We're on", we said in unison. We even raised our hands as a sign that we're all in. Then my eyes catches him, he was staring at me.

"Ok...this will be fun. Tomorrow,  6 am,  be ready because the battle will begin", sabi ng speaker at umalis na ito.

"Ladies, bilang ako na yata ang pinaka matanda dito. Ako na siguro ang magsalita. Hindi ko kayang makipag sabayan sa inyo, baka hindi ko kayanin, I'll be right here to give you my support and help you when you need. All we need is team work. Kaya natin to ladies ha",sabi ni Mrs.  Maegan.

"It's ok for us Mrs.  Maegan. So girls, let show them tomorrow what we got", sabi ni Leila from marketing department ng ibang company.

We make a group hug before we all parted.

It's already 8 pm ng matapos ang napagkasunduan ng lahat. Kaya most are making their way to the resto.

"Are you sure you can win over us?", si Edward na bigla nalang sumulpot sa tabi ni May habang naglalakad.

"We are...we don't need a guy in our team just to win", it's the start of the game. Not only between man and woman. It's between May and Edward.

Naupo si May sa loob ng resto, a table for two. Nauna na kasing mag dinner ang mga kaibigan nito, si Marco hindi nakasama sa conference dahil sa headache nito.

"Miss, ano pong order niyo?", tanong ng waiter.

"Ahm isang pork sinigang with sili ha, and ice cream narin for dessert",nakangiting sabi ni May.

"Don't smile to much, baka isipin ng waiter na nakikipag flirt ka sa kanya", kung kabute ang tao, si Edward yon. Sumusulpot bigla kung saan saan. At naupo pa ito sa vacant chair, kung saan naka table si May.

"And what are you doing here...seated on that vacant chair, did I invite you?", sarkastikong sabi ni May.

"No...but I invited myself ", nakangiting sagot nito.

"Great!...but one thing. Mind your own nu ok", sabi ni May.

"I'm not doing anything. I just seated here. Talking to you like normal person did, but your so cold, aloof. What's is wrong with you?", parang naiinis na sabi ni Edward.

"Everything in here is wrong...that's all. You helped me once, but that doesn't mean I owe you everything...everytime I see you Edward.  All I remember is that once...you were part of those nightmares I had", pagkasabi non ay umalis na si May. Hindi na siya kumain dahil bumangon muli ang galit na matagal nang ibinaon ni May sa puso niya. Hindi pa pala siya nakakalimot, yung sakit nandoon parin.
