There's a story behind everyone, that much is obvious. I didn't know Chaeseon's story, and I doubt she knew even half of mine. I knew she had brothers, and I knew despite everything she's done to sabotage my friends' careers, she cared about and loved her own.

She was a good actor, despite being labeled a dancer. She was pretty, and hardworking.

You hear in school about the kids who are so talented and smart, but one mistake messes up the rest of their lives. That's Chaeseon. And, yes, I feel bad about it, but when it came down to it, I could do nothing, as it was left in the hands of Fantagio.

"It's Chaeseon," I had whispered, almost in a daze.

All of them, even Juri, yelled in surprise.

JinJin, who would usually take it upon himself to calm the rowdy group, stood in shock as well.

What led me to this conclusion? She'd been nothing but nice to me. But something told me it was her. She made Juri our scapegoat since her personality is stereotypically aligned with acts of injustice. However, Juri is just a normal girl, living the life as a trainee with a personality that may be a little loud. Chaeseon was friendly and sneaky and jealous.

As they all asked questions frantically, I left the room, and when they noticed, they quieted down and followed me. Chaeseon was in the lobby, about to leave for the day.

"Chaeseon," I interrupted her conversation with the secretary.

She gave a wide smile, "Oh, hi, Miyeong. And the rest of the group." She laughed a little.

"We know it's you." I said clearly.

Her smile dropped slowly. "What are you talking about?"

"You know what I'm talking about. You've been sending information to KpopInsight about me and Astro and sending me threatening texts."

The rest of the group was still in awe, not really believing what was happening. The secretary looked shocked as well.

"Why would I do that?" Chaeseon gave a deep frown. "First of all, we're friends, and second of all, I have a career to uphold."

I narrowed my eyes, "Exactly, you-"

All the sudden, Dongmin, who had been confused, trying to logic the situation out in his head, gasped. Quietly he said, "Oh.."

"What's going on here?" We turned to see their boss, the mind behind Fantagio. He was a nice man, fair too. He believed in letting his idols eat the way they wanted, as he trusted them to work hard.

We all bowed, especially Chaeseon, who started quickly, "Nothing-"

"Chaeseon's trying to sabotage Astro."

We all turned at Dongmin's voice, as he'd finally figured it out. He locked eyes with me quickly, sending me a nod, before confidently facing his boss, who looked as shocked as we all did.

"What? That is a serious accusation," He said sternly.

As I didn't feel he wanted me explanation, I let Dongmin do the talking at first.

He glanced at Chaeseon. "For the past weeks since Miyeong's been here, KpopInsight has been writing articles about us with videos only someone close could've obtained. At first it was harmless, then she began spreading rumors about Moonbin and my's relationship with her. She's also sent Miyeong a couple of threatening text messages."

His boss narrowed his eyes, "Why would she do that?"

"Because she's jealous," I entered the conversation, and ten heads snapped to me. "She's jealous that Astro is the biggest group in Fantagio right now. She wants 4Life to have that spot. She didn't think she'd be found out, and a scandal would force Astro to disband, true or not. With Astro out of the way, all Fantagio would have to focus on is 4Life."

Everyone was quiet for a minute.

"Chaeseon," the boss gave her a look, "is this true? Do not lie to me."

And it's true, she didn't think she'd be found out. After all, she'd only been nice to me.

"I'm sorry." She bowed her head, and I stole a glance at Juri, who had a hand over her mouth. This couldn't be good. When she came up from her bow, she gave a hopeless laugh. "Miyeong was the perfect opportunity. Childhood friend, ex lover.. So many scandals could come from that, especially since both Moonbin and Eunwoo harbor feelings for her."

At that, Sumi looked at Bin and back to me with a sad expression, making my heart sink for her.

Chaeseon continued, "KpopInsight promised they'd do all the dirty work, and pay me too! All I had to do was get footage and a little bit of drama." Her voice dropped quiet, "Yes, I was jealous, and I was desperate." When no one spoke, she continued, "What happens now?"

The boss gave her a look of pity, as he didn't want to do this. "I'm sorry, Byun Chaeseon, but you're fired from Fantagio Entertainment."

She gave a nod, as if she knew it was coming, yet I gave a look of shock, as I didn't know the consequence would be so severe. She didn't stir up too much trouble, so the harshness of her punishment surprised me immensely.

"If you'd follow me to my office. You too, Juri, can you get the Dasom and Haru?" And he began walking away, Chaeseon in tow, before she gave us a sad wave.

When they left, Sumi frowned, "God, I feel so bad for them. Chaeseon deserved what she had coming, but Haru, Dasom, and Juri.."

"Yeah.." Bin agreed.

Hesitantly, I asked, "What's going to happen to them?"

"Well," MJ began, "With Chaeseon gone, all their progress will be lost. Any songs they were working on for debut have to be scratched."

"The likelihood of 4Life even staying together is slim," JinJin finished.

Sanha added on, "And as a four person group, if one person leaves, you're at a big loss."

"So will Fantagio drop them too?" I asked, worried.

"Probably," Minhyuk sighed, "Maybe not, but probably."

I couldn't feel worse. I got justice, and Chaeseon won't be bothering us anymore, but at what cost?
