"Play dayyyyyyy!" MJ shouted as he ran in circles, arms held above him as a smile covered his entire face.

We desperately attempted to shush him, as everyone was looking at him at this point. Today was a "play day" at school. Pretty much, we're encouraged to spend the day outdoors, doing multiple activities set up about the courtyard. However, there are things to do inside, and it's not super structured, which the students appreciate. It gave us a break from the stress that came from schoolwork and gave us time to enjoy the beautiful outdoors and the social aspects of life.

"I say we do tug of war before anyone else claims the only rope!" Sanha yelled before skipping over to the rope.

Looking over at Sumi, she was shaking her head, smiling at her childish friends. It felt good to be a part of. "What teams are we on?"

"How about oldest versus youngest?" JinJin suggested, giving Sumi a small grin.

"Alright," Bin nodded, "So JinJin, MJ, Eunwoo hyungs, and I against Sanha, Rocky, Sumi and Miyeong."

"Um," I laughed, "Doesn't that seem a little weird? Sumi and I are kind of small and Sanha's one long, lanky noodle.."

"Don't you worry, Miyeong! I'll carry our team to victory!" Minhyuk posed dramatically.

Sumi groaned, "We're doomed."

"Do we want to put a bet on it?" JinJin's eyes glinted mischeviously.

"But you'll win anywa-"

"Ok, so if we win, you have to do whatever any of us wants for the rest of the day. And if you four win, we have to do whatever you want for the remainder of the day. Sound good? Ok." No one objected to JinJin's idea, especially those on his team. We were dead meat.

They game started quickly, and I could already feel the four boys on the other side overtaking us, but Minhyuk was putting up a decent fight. I was in the front of my line while Minhyuk pulled up the rear, the rope wrapped around his hand. Sanha was all legs, and Sumi yelled,

"Sanha! I will trip over your legs!"

"Mian!"

Dongmin, who was first in his line, tugged harder at the rope. "We've got this in the bag!"

"Spit on the ground! Spit on the ground!"

"We're on grass, Minhyuk!" I yelled back as I desperately pulled at the rope, but our strength was no match for the four older boys. "No!" I yelped as they tugged hard, causing my team and I to plunge forward, and I landed with a grunt of dismay.

"This is a nice view.."

"Oh! Mianhe!" I scrambled, blushing as I realized I was on top of Dongmin. He chuckled, and I got up, quickly offering him a hand up. I saw Sumi smirking at us out of the corner of my eyes. Shut up, Sumi.

I saw JinJin help Sumi up, and Minhyuk scrambled to his feet, insisting the only thing hurt was his pride.

"So I guess that's that," MJ smirked. "We've won. Rocky, go buy us all soda."

Pouting, Minhyuk murmured, "Yes, hyung.."

"Aw, man. I think I left my phone inside during lunch," Sumi got up from her spot next to Bin, who was about to scoot next to me.

"No, no," I stood up, wanting her to have time with her crush. "I'll go get it." I sent her a smile, and she sent one back.

"Thanks!"

I hummed to myself as I entered the quiet school. Most everyone was outside, so it was peaceful in the halls. I was glad this day existed. It was nice to see everyone having a good time just doing their own thing in the sun.

I spotted Sumi's phone on the bench near the water fountains, and she was lucky I got to it before someone else did. A piece of paper sat beside it. It was an ad for musical tryouts. It had fallen off the bulletin board next to the bench. Yeah, that wasn't really my scene. Beginning to hum again, I turned around to head back the my friends.

"Hey."

"Oh.. hi," I looked up at Dongmin, who was closer than I had anticipated. Upon this realization, I took a hasty step backwards, accidentally colliding with the bench, sending a wave of pain through my leg, almost making me fall over. Dongmin quickly grabbed my forearm, keeping me from falling. "Thanks," I sighed before giving a nervous laugh.

He shook his head and chuckled. "You're still as clumsy as ever."

We began walking back, slowly but surely. I think we both enjoyed being together alone once and a while, and he matched the slow pace my short legs were producing over the one his longer legs wanted to.

"What brought you in here?" I asked curiously, slipping Sumi's phone in my pocket.

"You."

"Hm?" I flushed, looking up at him, but he was grinning forward.

He repeated, "You. I like spending time with you."

My cheeks reddened further as I said, "T-Thanks.. I like spending time with you too."

He stopped walking in the middle of the empty hallway, and I took more steps forward before realizing his had stopped. I looked back at him.

"What's up?" I asked, raising my eyebrows at his sudden stop.

Dongmin's eyes met mine. "So I can ask you to do anything I want for today?" As he took steps closer to me, I gulped, taking strides backwards.

"I guess.."

My back hit the cold wall behind me, and he stopped right in front of my trapped figure. "Do me something, Miyeong."

"What is it?"

"Let me do this.." His lips inched closer to mine, our noses touching. In the moment, it was all I wanted. It wasn't something he was telling me to do and I had to do because I lost a stupid bet. It was real.

"Dongmin.." I murmured, my eyes fluttering closed as his lips almost touched mine.

A locker slammed.

"Ow!" I whined as I had jolted my head back in shock, hitting the brick wall behind me. The girl who had been in the hallway gave us a grossed out look before speeding away with the bag she retrieved from her locker.

Dongmin grabbed my hand, intertwining our fingers as he asked, "Are you okay?!" A jolt of electricity ran through my hand at the slightest touch.

"Yeah.. I think. Let's head on out there," I suggested, letting go of his hand to begin walking again.

What had just happened?
