"Can you, Daddy?"

He didn't answer.

"Please?"

"I hate to say this, my dearest daughter, but I am afraid I cannot..."

My heart sunk.

"Why?" I asked, hoping he couldn't see the evident disappointment on my face.

"We have to rule a kingdom, sweetheart. And we have to rule it fairly. To ask to expel someone from your school simply because you do not like them does not only give us a bad name, but also is unjust."

My heart sunk even further.

"But..."

"Unless this person is hurting you, unless you have evidence, I don't think it would be correct to do anything."

She is hurting me! She stole Mario!

But I doubt I'm allowed to be in a relationship to begin with. So I can't say anything, unless I want to lie, and I don't want to lie.

"Alright, Daddy. I'm going back to the school now."

"Thank you for coming." He gave me a warm smile. "Next time, bring your friends with you."

I faked a smile back. "Okay. Bye, Daddy."

"So I'm guessing that asking your dad didn't work." Zelda plopped onto her bed.

"Mhmm."

"You'll have to find something else, then."

"Well, yeah! I have to get Pauline out somehow!"

"Whoa there, calm down. We'll get her expelled, okay?"

"How?" I tugged at my hair. I was losing it. "How, Zelda? I can't just request to get her out!"

"Why not just ditch Mario? I mean, he left you for her to begin with."

"Mario doesn't want to be with her," I claimed. "I know he doesn't. The only reason he's with her is that...that..."

"What?" Zelda was annoyed. I could hear it in her voice. "He can break up with her, Peach. It's not that hard."

"You don't get it!" I felt my eyes sting. I don't blame this on Mario. I can't.

"I know I don't get it," she admitted. "I don't know Mario like you do. But... I mean... what can he not do? Unless she's threatening him--"

"That's it!" I interrupted. "He's been blackmailed!"

"You sure?"

"Yes! I've got to confront Pauline and--"

"Princess Peach Toadstool," Zelda said sternly. "If it's so threatening that even Mario can't do anything, I don't think you should get involved."

"But--"

"I'm telling you, Peach. For now, you'll just have to let go of him..."

"Yeah, like you let go of Link. I should be miserable for the next forever like you were. I should suffer like you did, right?"

She looked away. "...That was low, even for you."

I clenched my fists. "Yeah? Well, telling me that I shouldn't trust Mario was also pretty low."

"I'm going to make things up with Link, you know."

"Good for you."

"Yeah."

"I'm going to stay with Daisy this week."

Her eyes widened a little bit. "Why?"

"I think I need a break from you, that's all." I grabbed some clothes, my makeup, and my books. I shoved it all in my backpack and slung it over my back. "Bye, Zelda."

When I left the room, I made sure to slam the door.

A/N: Ok, I'll be honest. This is a short, boring filler chapter, and I'm super late. I haven't been active for nearly a month. I basically disappeared off the face of the earth. I'm sorry. My life got so hectic all of a sudden, and I found zero time for anything that I like to do. But I'm back! Hopefully I'll be able to update more often. Thank you for reading. I love all your comments. Thank you for all the support! Hope you enjoyed this chapter (though I didn't XD) and hopefully I'll be back here soon!
