Chapter 23

TWO MONTHS LATER...

"Piper! Piper it's here!" My mum woke me up.

"What!"

"Yeah! It came in the post just ten minutes ago!"

"AHH! I'm too scared to open it" I shouted.

"Come on! Just open it already!" Harper screamed at me.

"Okay. Here goes"

I slowly opened the big white envelope and took out the letter.

"What does it say?"

"I've been accepted. I'm going to music college!" I shouted

"Oh My God! Well done Piper" Harper hugged me.

"Let's see it!" My mum asked excitedly. I gave her the letter.

"Wow, it says you have an exceptional talent in piano and singing!"

"Yeah! That's what I'm studying!" I said to her like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"We have to go and celebrate!" Harper exclaimed.

"Hmm, alright. But Piper gets to choose where we go"

"Yeah, yeah"

I got ready to go out for dinner.

I chose TGI FRIDAYS, my favourite restraunt!!

I got changed in grey skinny jeans, a white jumper with a peace sign on it and flowery Doc. Martins.

"ARE YOU READY YET?" Harper exclaimed.

"Nearly"

I put my hair into a bun at the top of my head, some little bits flowing.

I put white diamond earrings in my ears and winged eyeliner.

I went downstairs to be greeted with my mum and my sister.

"Come on quick in the car. There's something going on outside" My mum urged me.

I wonder what's going on outside..

I opened the door to see loads of screaming girls outside Harry's driveway and some girls on our lawn.

That must mean one thing...

Harry's here.

I walked over to the car. As I opened the door I saw a black van drive onto Harry's driveway...

I was wrong.

Harry's just arrived...

All of One Direction got out of the car, along with Simon Cowell...

I saw Harry get out, he shot me a glance, but it was hard to read..

Guilt maybe??

But how could he feel guilty. All these girls are swooning at him, he could have anyone. I just wasn't good enough I guess...

I just shook my head at him, trying not to let the tears fall. I got into the car and shut the door as we drove away. My mum took hold of my hand.

"Don't worry Piper. It'll work out" She told me reassuringly.

Hmp. In my dreams...

I guess he's right.

"CONGRATULATIONS TO PIPER!! WHO JUST GOT INTO MUSIC COLLEGE!!" Harper shouted out to the whole restraunt..

"Oh god.. Harper, why do you have to be so embarrassing?!?" I groaned.

"Aww come on. Look, everyone's cheering!!"

"God... I hate this"

"Oh well. Foods here anyway"

"Harper, you always have to get ice cream!"

"Come on. You get ice cream too."

"Fine, two chocolate ice creams please" I said to the waiter.

He took our orders and went off into the kitchen.

"I like the lights" Harper said.

I looked up at all the lights, they were stripy red and white, hat shape.

"Okay, that was pretty random" I laughed.

"What? It's the stuff I go for" She laughed with me.

Just then, our ice creams came. One thing I like about TGI Fridays is the fast service.

"Hey look Harper. They put a sparkler in yours!" I laughed.

"Oh no. That's for you. We heard about your success. Congratulations!" The waiter said to me.

"Wow, Thankyou"

As I watched the sparkler go off and fade out, I thought about my life.

It's like the sparkler. Everything is really good, but after a while, everything starts to fade.

I realised this is now my life.

My new life.
