It's a soft glow in the midnight air,
A slight warmth in the winter's wind,
If you ever asked me what love meant,
I'd tell you one thing.
"You could be a flame, but without the spark to fuel it, your just embers."
Any lonely person would want it,
That spark that starts the fire.
I can see these flames,
The ones that reside hidden inside.
Beliefs,
Their still treasured,
I've told someone who tried to get me,
"I already have the one, I'll never need a second place."
Their heart was broken,
But I know,
They'll heal eventually,
If they got with me,
Would they understand the pain,
Like you do?
Of course they wouldn't,
Because you've known me for over half a year now.
