Bounded by chains,
Able to see the light,
Rays beaming through the cracks.
All the while,
Unable to escape these chains.
Pressure building up on you.
It's like there's no escape.
All they want you to do is leave,
But you can't.
Chanting that word.
Freedom
Something out of your reach.
Days pass by as you watch the sun fade into black,
As the night draws near.
Inky blackness covers the light.
A dark room and nobody to listen to.
It's dark,
All you can hear is a faint cry.
Someone's alive,
Someone's here.
You aren't alone.
Years pass,
You've finally broken free.
They sti sit there bound to the wall.
Sympathy overwhelms you,
You set them free as well,
In the end,
You saved not only yourself,
But another as well.
