It's a quiet night tonight,
You have you work you have to do,
And I have mine.
I wish you weren't so far away.
Every good thing has some sort of price on it,
May it be materialistic,
Or not.
One reason,
I'm willing to wait to see you,
Is because you're voice.
On the phone,
Just listening to you talk or ramble on about random things,
It makes my day a little brighter.
I know that,
With you on the phone,
It's actually you.
I'm not alone,
I'm not dreaming,
And I could fall asleep to your goofiness.
Stay weird,
quirky,
dorky,
intelligent,
salty,
and sarcastic.
I'll always forgive you,
As long as you don't change.
You are literally perfect as you are,
Anyone would want to be you,
Because you're just,
Yourself.
And you aren't afraid to speak up for what you want.
You work for it,
Even if others around can't see it,
You're unbelievably brave,
compared to most of us.
Just promise me,
You won't change?
