Rose

Once a year,

Always such a sight,

I get to see you blossom,

Into that beautiful rose.

You don't realize,

You're worth more than a human life,

You're everything that makes this world,

Bright.

Even in winter,

You never fail to blossom.

Pure white sheets,

Of untouched snow,

And in the middle,

There it is,

A fully blossomed rose.

A burning red,

as bright as could be,

Stems that help it rise,

Form the frozen ground.

And leaves,

That peek out to enhance,

It's beauty.

It's just one rose,

But,

This one rose,

Knows,

It's never alone.
