I went out the door and knew exactly who I was going to take with me. I would take Lilly, so there was another girl and not just me and I would also take Jerome, because he's one of the strongest. The last two people I would take, would be Mathew, for his knowledge, and I would take Nathan, because he knows what I need to do.

Nathan and I split up to each get the others I wanted to take, so we would have more time to travel. I got Lilly and Mathew while he got Jerome. Once we met back at my house, we got some supplies for the journey and then we were off to find the amulet.

"So what exactly is this amulet I'm supposed to find?" I asked as we were walking.

"It's called the blood amulet or the shadow amulet" Mathew said.

"The what now?"

"The blood amulet or shadow amulet. If a shadow enters your body, then the only way to get it back out is with this amulet."

"So what does it look like?"

"It's a necklace with a big ruby in the pendant, but it's not a regular ruby. It's the blood ruby, the only one in the world" Lilly said.

"So how much further Mathew?" Jerome asked.

"It's still about a two day journey" Mathew said.

"Well then if it's that long, why don't we just use our vampire speed?" I asked.

"We need to save our energy, in case we meet up with Alanna or if there's a beast guarding the amulet" Nathan said.

"So when it gets to night, we set up camp?" I asked.

"That's why we have all these supplies." Jerome said.

We kept walking and talking. Suddenly the shadow started to move around inside me. I was behind everyone so they didn't know what was going on. Suddenly the shadow took over me and started to control me

"You will never defeat me" the shadow said inside me.

"Jasi are you ok?" Lilly asked.

"Never better" the shadow said as it turned me into a shadow with glowing eyes.

"Jasmine?" Lilly said scared.

"It's the shadow, it turned her." Nathan said.

"Well how do we stop it?" Lilly asked still terrified.

"With this" Nathan said getting out a bottle with a certain dust, which if you put some on the shadow it will turn you back into yourself. He took out a pinch of the dust and put it on the shadow. I went back to being me and once I was back on the ground, I passed out in Nathan's arms.

Nathan carried me in his arms until it became night. The others set up camp in the forest they came to. Once they set up the tents, one for Lilly and I and the other for the boys, Nathan put me in the boys tent and laid me on the ground. He then went back out and helped the others get the fire started.

An hour went by and I woke up. I was in a new surrounding, which was inside of a tent. I unzipped the door and went outside. I saw that the others had made a fire, so I went over there and sat down. The fire was big and warm.

"Are you ok princess?" Mathew asked.

"Yea I'm fine. I think. What happened anyway?" I asked.

"The shadow turned you" Nathan said coming up behind me.

"Did it hurt anyone?"

"Not this time, but I think you should go visit Lilly. She's a bit terrified about what happened" Jerome said.

"Where is she?"

"In the girls tent"

"Ok thanks." I went over and went inside the tent. Lilly was sitting on the ground. "Lilly?"

"No stay away!" She exclaimed terrified.

"Lilly, it's me, Jasi"

"Are you sure. Tell me something only Jasi and I know."

"You have a crush on Jerome"

"It is you!" she said getting up to hug me.

We both hugged each other, then we went out to the fire. Mathew got the hot dogs out to cook over the fire. Nathan got some sticks for the hot dogs and Jerome got some more firewood. We roasted and ate the hit dogs, then we had some s'mores. We stayed up telling stories and by eleven o'clock, we all went into the tents. I got in my sleeping bag and fell asleep right away.

About an hour went by and I heard a noise. I woke up and went outside the tent to check it out, being careful not to wake Lilly. When I got outside I saw nothing, but the trees of the forest. I decided to fly around and see if I could find anything. I had practiced flying a little when we were walking, but not that much.

I closed my eyes and lifted off the ground. I stayed lower to the ground this time and flew around the forest. I couldn't find anything again and as I was heading back to the campsite, I got a feeling that someone or something was watching me. I was getting a little scared, but when I made it back to our little campsite I didn't have that feeling anymore. It was like it disappeared as soon as I got within range to other people, or in this case vampires.

I got back in the tent quietly and got back into my sleeping bag. It took me a while to get back to sleep because I kept thinking about what that thing possibly watching me could've been.
