Chapter 12: I Turn Back

"Which one of us is the true love that needs to break the curse?" I asked.

"Nathan, you need to" Jerome told me.

"Wait, what? Why?"

"You've been around her the longest. When you were kids you always hung out with her"

"Ok I'll try it" I went back over to the cell door but she wasn't there.

"Wait, we need to get Jasmine in the cell" Mathew said.

"How?" Lilly asked.

"You need to pretend to faint. She still knows who you are and deep down you two are still friends." Jerome said to Lilly.

"Do you think it will work?"

"It should" Mathew said.

"Lets do it then, we can't waste any time" I said.

Lilly went on the ground pretending to faint as soon as Jasmine walked downstairs.

"What's going on?" She asked. She came over to the cell and saw Lilly laying on the ground. "Lilly!?" She ran and grabbed the keys and unlocked the door, then quickly shut it behind her so we couldn't get out. "Lilly! Are you ok? Can you hear me?"

I went over to Jasmine and put my hand on her shoulder.

"You did this to her. You killed Lilly" Jasmine said with a deep voice.

"She's not dead she just fainted." I said.

Jasmine got up on her feet. "How do I know she's not dead?"

"Trust me she's not"

Jerome looked to me and gave me a look to tell me to kiss Jasmine now.

Jasmine's POV

I got up from the ground and looked at Nathan.

"How do I know she's not dead?" I asked.

"Trust me she's not" Nathan said.

I looked at his face and in a flash his lips were on mine. I didn't know what to do. Everyone looked and saw my hair was turning back to blonde and my eyes back to their normal blue. He backed away a little and saw the normal me.

"Nathan" I said.

"Jasmine."

"Oh Nathan!" I said hugging him with my head resting on his chest, while I was crying. "What happened to me?"

"Alanna turned you dark. You didn't hurt anyone, but now Alanna has the amulet"

I looked up at Nathan. "But the shadow is out of me. What else can she do?"

"With the amulet in the wrong hands of magic, the amulet can turn anything evil. Alanna will make an army and try to destroy us"

"Actually she'll try to destroy the royal family so she can become queen" Mathew said from behind as Nathan shot him a look as if he wasn't supposed to say that.

"So that means, she'll kill me?"

"Yes, but we will do whatever it takes to protect you and your parents" Nathan said with a comforting voice.

"Are you know." Alanna said coming down the stairs. "Isn't that sweet. I see you've changed back Jasmine." Alanna said lifting my chin with her finger. "You know you're not purely good." She lifted a piece of my hair. "See this is still black"

"It doesn't matter. I will stay good as long as I have my friends" I said pulling away from the door.

"We'll see" Alanna said walking away.

"We need to get out of here and warn your parents." Jerome said.

"I need to get my phone, but it's upstairs in the room I was staying in." I said.

"Well lucky for you, you can go invisible and sneak past Alanna" Nathan said.

"You can cast an invisibility spell?"

"No, I'm not that powerful. But you are."

"I-I'm not evil anymore. I don't have my powers"

"You've always had power. Once you turned into a vampire you've had the strongest power known to vampire history"

"Again why has this been a secret to me?! Whatever. I'll try it" I closed my eyes and concentrated on the invisibility spell. I opened my eyes and I could still see everyone. "Can you see me?" I asked.

"All I can see is the cell door" Mathew pointed out.

"So it worked?"

"Yes. And whatever you touch will become invisible as well, until you let go. Now go and get your phone quickly"

I nodded, even though they couldn't see me and I unlocked the door with the keys I still had. I went up the stairs past a room, which had Brandon in it.

"Brandon?" I said quietly.

"Who-whose there?" he said startled.

I remembered about me being invisible and kept on walking to get my phone. I reached the room and Alanna was in it. I stood at the entrance for a second then I saw my phone right where I left it. I went into the room slowly being careful not to step on anything that would make a loud noise.

I got my phone and headed back downstairs to get the others.
