I woke up the next morning and flew down from the top bunk. I went downstairs to the kitchen to find some food and the fridge and cupboards were loaded with food. I went to the cupboard and got some corn pops. I got a bowl and spoon and some milk from the fridge.
"Either the people who lived here before kept the food here, or Alanna actually has a heart." I thought to myself.
As I was eating I needed to figure out my plan. I would need to fly out a window because the policemen were watching me from a close distance. I went upstairs to the room to look out the window. Along the way I kept thinking to myself about Brandon and Nathan.
Once I got to the window I sat on the wall in between the window and the room. I saw a bunch more people. Some were fire fighters, some doctors and some policemen. Alanna had captured more humans over night. I knew I had to escape as soon as possible. I opened the window with half of my strength.
"Hey! What are you doing?" a blonde fire fighter yelled from down below with a masculine voice.
I ignored him and jumped out the window. I flew high in the air and away from the house. The fire fighter warned the policemen and they took their guns out to start shooting at me, but I was too far away for them to reach me.
As soon as I was far away for them to track me I landed on my feet on the forest floor. Alanna was right. I didn't know where I was. I kept thinking about Brandon and Nathan and then it came to me. I had my phone. I pulled my iPhone out of my back pocket of my jean shorts and turned it on. I slide the lock screen to enter my password and then I went to my phone app. I checked how many bars of service there were in the top left hand corner.
"Shoot!" I had no bars, so I couldn't call or text anybody. I tried walking around with my vampire speed and I couldn't get a single bar. "Ugh, there's just no bars"
I locked my phone and put it back in my back pocket. I then looked up and it was standing there. A big sandy coloured wolf with glowing golden eyes. It was the alpha wolf. I could tell because of the eyes. No other wolf but the alpha has golden eyes. They either have blue, green or brown.
It looked at me for a while and then in transformed into human. It was a werewolf. Luckily werewolves have some sort of clothing on after they've changed from being a wolf to a human. The wolf was a man. He had black shaggy hair and hazel eyes. And I also couldn't help but notice his six pack, since he only had a pair of shorts on with no shirt.
"What are you doing in werewolf territory" he said with a deep voice.
"I-I-I'm sorry. Alanna put me in a house just a few miles back and I escaped. I-I didn't know I was in werewolf territory." I explained shaken.
"Hmm" he examined me circling me. "I've met many blonde vampires, but not one like you."
"What do you mean one like me?"
"You have an unnatural glowing aura. It's not natural. Who are you?"
"My name is Jasmine May. What's it to you...uh"
"Nick"
"What's it to you Nick?"
"Who are you really?"
"The vampire princess?"
The alpha was shocked. He kept circling me and then stopped in front of me. He kept looking at me trying to discover why my aura was glowing so bright.
Suddenly something was running at me with loud foot stomps. It was another werewolf with auburn fur and baby blue eyes. I had my back turned and it launched itself at me and bit my hip. I let out a screech of pain and fell on my knees. Usually when a werewolf bites a vampire they turn back to human. But not me.
**********
"You alright?" a deep masculine voice said.
I knew it was the alpha's voice because it was the only one I heard in the woods after I escaped the house. I opened my eyes slowly to see Nick standing there still shirtless behind metal bars. I was in a cell. Why was I in a cell. Sure I was on werewolf territory, but another werewolf just bit me. The least Nick could do was put me in a room with a bed instead of a cell with a concrete floor.
"What happened?" I asked quietly still shaken from the bite.
"You were bit by Leo. You fell to the ground and blacked out, so I brought you back here." He explained.
"Did you do anything to Leo?"
"That's none of your business." He snarled. "You're still vampiric. Why?"
"I don't know. But tell me why you put me in a jail cell."
"Reasons." he wouldn't say anything. "Where's the rest of your vampire friends?"
As soon as he said friends, the thought crossed my mind of how Brandon and Nathan were. It also crossed my mind about Alanna's attack in four days. That meant I had four days to escape this jail cell and find my way back to Parkview.
"Do you have service here?" I asked randomly.
"Yea..."
I smiled and quickly pulled out my phone. I turned it on and slid the lock screen to enter my password. I looked in the top corner and there were full bars of service. I went to my phone app and the first person I had to call was Brandon. The alpha just stood there watching me as I pulled my phone up to my ear. It kept ringing until he finally picked up.
"Hello?" Brandon said through the phone.
"Brandon!" I exclaimed.
"Jasmine! Where the hell are you? We've all been worried about you."
The alpha left the room and waited for me to get off the phone. I explained to Brandon about what happened to me, but I left the part out about the wolves.
"So where are you now?" he asked.
"I don't know. That's the problem."
There was silence for a few seconds. Then I started to talk again.
"Hows dad?" I asked nervously.
"Still hasn't woken up"
"Well he has four days to wake up before Alanna attacks. She has already gathered some humans. Most of them are either police, fire fighters or doctors, as far as I know."
"That's not good"
"Shoot I have to go."
"No wait Jasmine"
"I'm sorry"
"Jasmine don't hang-"
I cut him off and hung up. I put the phone back in my pocket and looked straight at an orange coloured wolf. He was growling at me, showing his teeth. Then Nick came in the room.
"Leo stop bugging her" he said. "You've already bit her once. You don't need to bite her again."
He let out another growl and then transformed into human. He had tan skin with a six pack. His hair was a fiery red with dark blue eyes.
