Chapter 17: Alanna captures Mathew

"Hey" Nathan said with a quiet soft voice. "Wake up. I want to show you something"

I woke up on the couch and Nathan was standing in front of me. "What do you want to show me?"

"Follow me"

He took my hand and helped me off the couch. We went outside and went outside the gates. We walked past a farm and came to a waterfall just at the back of Whiterun. The water had a rainbow tint to it from the sunrise.

"It's beautiful." I said looking at the waterfall.

"I figured you might like it" Nathan said smiling.

"We'd better head back before Brandon freaks out"

"Don't worry. I told him where we were going" He kissed my cheek. "Besides, I brought breakfast" He said flashing a waffle in his hand with his magic.

We sat down on a rock in the river next to the waterfall. We ate breakfast, then explored the forest a little bit. When we went back home, Brandon was in the living room watching tv.

"You're back." He said looking at us smiling. "How was the waterfall?"

"It was amazing!" I explained. "It had a rainbow tint from the sunrise and it was just beautiful."

"The rainbow tint actually stays. You should check it out tonight. That is if we don't cross paths with Alanna"

"I want to go back to Parkview" I announced after Nathan and I sat down on the couch with Brandon. "Just for the day."

Brandon let out a little sigh. "You really want to go?"

"Yes! I want to see Lilly, Roxanne, Mathew and Jerome. I miss them. I also want to check up on our parents to see if their ok"

Brandon let out a little sigh again. "Fine. We can go to see them, but not mom and dad. If dad sees us, you know what he'll do."

"Fine. As long as we go."

"We go after lunch"

"Why not now?" I argued.

"You want something to eat, don't you?"

My stomach growled. "Yeah I guess so"

"What happened to this place?" I asked seeing the park destroyed. "It's like a tornado came here, but completely missed all the houses."

"Alanna." Brandon said with a deep voice. "Alanna was here"

Lilly's POV

"Lilly! Wake up!" Mathew yelled at my door. "Lilly get out of bed" he said opening my door.

"No privacy or anything" I said half asleep. "What's the problem anyways?"

"It's Alanna. She's here"

I scrambled to get out of bed and change out of my pjs. "How close?" I asked waking out of my room.

We went outside the front door and Jerome, Ashley and Roxanne were standing there.

"Where's Jasi and Nathan?" I asked.

"Her dad arranged and flight back to Springfield and Nathan went with her." Jerome explained.

"Let's get going" Mathew suggested.

We went to the park and Justin was fighting while Natalie came to us and told us what was going on.

"You need to help fight. I don't think Justin can take much more of this" She said.

"How can we? We don't have any magic" Ashely pointed out.

"I can take care of that. All you need to do is protect me. If Alanna comes to me and no one is protecting me then I will have to fight her and you will lose your magic" She explained.

We agreed and she cast a spell on us. I stayed behind because I still wasn't that strong.

"Where is your precious daughter Justin?" Alanna asked while she fought him.

"I won't tell you" Justin said strongly.

"King Justin. We're here to help" Mathew said as they went at his side.

"I will ask one more time. Where. Is. Jasmine."

"She's gone. You'll never reach her from here." Roxanne explained.

"Well if she's not here, I'll just take you" She cast the shadow out of the amulet and instructed it to capture Mathew.

It took hold if him and carried him away with Alanna. "Mathew! No!" I ran after them, but they were to far. I went on my knees and put my face in my hands crying. Jerome came up to me and put his hand on my shoulder.
