Chapter 28: Sam

I was dying in my dream and it had an effect on me in the real world. I wouldn't wake up. In my dream the shadow took his claws out of me and I tried to run to the door across the room. I barely got to it and opened it with some of my strength I had left. It led to another pure white room. There was no door, but there was a white bed with birch trim. I went over to it and laid down. I put my head on the pillow and if I had any blood, then the white sheets would be soaked. But since I'm a vampire we don't have any blood or a heart.

Something opened the door and walked towards me. It was a person, another vampire. He kept walking towards me. I couldn't make out his face, but he had dirty blonde hair with a red streak at the side. His eyes were a dark red and a smile with pink lips.

"You must find me, saviour." He said.

"Why must I find you. Who are you?"

"My name is Sam. I am the saviour as well as you. You must find me. I will be waiting somewhere in Springfield."

I opened my mouth to say something, but I was slowly waking up to someone shaking the crap out of me. I eventually opened my eyes and Roxanne was standing there with Lilly.

"Ugh, why were you shaking the crap out of me?" I asked.

"We can't find Ashley." Lilly explained.

"Do you happen to know where she is?" Roxanne asked.

"Yeah. She's with Alanna." I said.

Lilly and Roxanne both gasped. "We have to go save her then." Lilly exclaimed.

"No." I said. "We leave her there."

"But she could be harmed by Alanna" Lilly whined.

"We leave her there. She's a traitor. She now works for Alanna. She's the one who almost led me to my death."

"She's still our friend we need to save her." Lilly kept whining.

"Lilly. If she led Jasmine to her almost death, then we can't trust her. If we save her, then she could try to kill Jasmine again." Roxanne said.

Lilly gave in and agreed to leave Ashley with Alanna. I got out of my bed and went downstairs with the girls. My mom and dad were sitting on the couch watching tv. I went over to them and explained my dream to them.

"So you're saying that when you were lying on a white bed, the other saviour before you, Sam, told you, you need to find him in Springfield?" My mom was trying to understand. I nodded. "Alanna killed the last saviour though."

"Maybe he faked his death. He could still be alive and waiting for me."

"We can't just send you back to Springfield to find another saviour, which we don't even know if he's alive." My mom kept arguing about letting me go.

"Please mom. I at least have to try and find him. Besides, it's not like Springfield is a huge town. It's pretty small."

"What if this is what Alanna wants though. What if she sent you on a wild goose chase to find the other saviour and attacks while you're gone?"

"Natalie." My dad interrupted. "We have to let her try."

"Really!" I exclaimed.

"Yes, but try to be back by tomorrow sometime."

"Thank you, thank you, thank you" I said quickly.

"I'm going to teleport you to Springfield, so I don't have to get you a plane. Just stand over there and you will be in Springfield in a flash"

I went over to the wall beside the tv and my dad teleported me to Springfield. It was a very small town, so I would find him pretty quick. I figured I would go to my house first to visit. I knew where we kept the spare keys, do I got them out of the mail box and unlocked the door. I walked around and when I came to the kitchen I let out a scream.

"Who the heck are you and how did you get in our house!?" I screamed.

"So you did get my message, saviour" he said.

"Who are you" I calmed down.

"My name is Sam. I'm the saviour before you. I came to you through your dream and I see you got my message."

"Yea... Why did you want me to find you?"

"You have something inside you. A powerful energy, which all saviours have. Unfortunately, none knew how to use or control it. That's why they've all been defeated by Alanna. I learned how to control it, so know I'm going to teach you how to."

"If you know how to use it, then why didn't you kill her?"

"I learned how to after I faked my death. I knew I was going to be killed by her, that's why I faked."

I looked at his red streak at the side of his blonde hair. "Were you turned dark by Alanna?"

"Yes." He looked at my blue streak. "I see you have to."

"Why do I have blonde hair and no other vampires I know or see have blonde hair. You're the only other one."

"Only saviours have blonde hair. Many others before me all had blonde."

"But my friend Lilly had dirty blonde hair."

"That's different. It has to be pure blonde to be the saviour." He got up from the chair. "Whelp I think we've wasted enough time. Let's get back to Parkview and train." He raised his arm and held out his hand. "Grab on"

I grabbed on and he teleported us back to my house. Three hours had past since I left Parkview to go to Springfield. My dad was still in the living room and mom was out with Melanie, Nathan's mom, while Nathan was out with Brandon for some guy time.

"Dad" I said as I entered the living room. "This is Sam."

"The saviour before you, yes."

"Do you happen to have somewhere Jasmine and I could train?" Sam asked.

"Yea back in the forest, in the clearing."

Sam nodded in thanks and we went outside to the forest. As we were walking it occurred to me, that Sam knew my name when I never told him it.

"Sam." I said.

"Hmm?" He looked over at me.

"How did you know my name back at the house? I never told you it."

"It's a gift I have. I know people's names by just looking at them."

We came to the clearing and Nick was there in his wolf form. I went up to him and he looked at me. He didn't recognize me at first, but then he realized it was me. He turned back to his human form.

"I thought you went back to your pack." I said.

"I did, but I came back to see you." He walked towards me and put his arms around me tightly, but not too tight. "You're like my daughter to me."

"We've only known each other for like two days and I'm like a daughter to you?" I looked up at him and he nodded. I smiled. "Well you're like my other dad"

"Jasmine" Sam interrupted. "We need to train."

Nick let go off me and kissed the top of my head. I nodded at Sam and we started training as Nick left to join his pack again.
