Chapter 3: Alanna

I woke up the next morning to my phone buzzing. It was Lilly trying to call me. I picked up my phone but by the time I got it the call had already ended. I went downstairs and smelled my moms home made white chocolate chip pancakes. I got into the kitchen to talk to my mom but she wasn't there. Lilly was making the pancakes.

"Hey Lilly. Where's my mom?"

"Oh hello princess. Queen Natalie is still asleep so I figured I would make some pancakes."

"Ok for one, please stop calling me princess, and for another, you know how to make my moms special pancakes?"

"Oh sorry Jasi." She winked at me. "And yes I do know how to make these. Your mom actually got the recipe from me, but hers taste way better than mine."

My mom and dad woke up and we all sat at the table and had breakfast. We finished our breakfast and Lilly and I went for a walk to the park to talk for a bit. After the park she showed me around the human town next to Parkview.

"We should come back to the club tonight to get a drink" Lilly said to me.

"Lilly I don't drink"

"Not that kind of drink"

" What do you mean?" It took me a while but I finally clued in and remembered that I was a vampire. "No! no way am I killing a person just for their blood!"

"Oh ya right I guess you're a new vampire. Let me explain. When you drink someones blood you don't kill them, you just drink and no matter how much or how little you drink they will never die, they just won't remember anything once they wake up, they'll think that they were drunk."

"Oh ok. I-I guess I'll try it. I've never done it before."

"Ok then meet me here at the park at seven tonight."

"Ok" I said and with that she left with her vampire speed.

It was lunch and I was at the diner, since my mom let me go. I ordered my food and someone said, "Hey princess, funny meeting you here."

"Nathan!" I exclaimed.

The waitress came over with my drink. "Hello there. Would you like to order?" the waitress asked Nathan.

"Sure" and with that he ordered.

We talked and our food came over. We ate and kept talking. Someone at the table behind me turned around, "hello dear I couldn't help but over hear you talking with this fine young man. What's your name sweetie?" she asked me.

"My name is Jasmine, Jasmine May." I told her. "What's your name?"

"My name is Alanna Holt"
