That night, Jade cried herself to sleep. If it wasn't for her, Perrie would be fine right now, laying comfortably on her bed, not laying in the hospital bed for a week or two. She's not so sure if it will take Perrie to be there in a week, who knows?
But Jade just came back to school at that time. It was her second day when that incident- or shall she say, accident- happened. How does fate be so cruel sometimes?
Jade cried and cried, screaming in her pillow so that none of her brothers can hear her agonizing cries. Sure, her eyes were now bloodshot from all her cryings, her voice will be raspy and groggy if she will never stop.
She decided to stop and let the hot tears flow down her eyes. She stares at her ceiling, waiting for sleep to come. And finally, she can feel her eyelids starting to close, and all she can see is pure darkness.

"Jade, breakfast is ready!" Liam called from the kitchen, rubbing his tired eyes to keep himself awake. He didn't sleep well that night because of the thought of Perrie saving Jade the other day and Jade's sniffs and faint cries that night. Even if it was just faint cries, their room was one wall apart, and he swears that he heard Jade called Perrie's name twice.
He felt guilty that night because he chooses to listen to Jade's painful cries, rather than to barge in her room and hug her, telling her that everything would be fine if she will stop worrying. It's not that easy to listen to your sister's cries, especially if you two have a strong bond together. But he knows that Jade needs some space and time to let it all out. So, he let her be. Mentally noting to ask her if she was alright the next morning.
There was a sound of a door closing and heavy footsteps coming downstairs. A smile crept down on his face, eager to see his sister. But then fades away when he saw it was Zayn.
"Morning." Zayn greeted as he made his way inside. Liam frowned, taking Zayn's appearance, seeing the bags under his eyes. "You slept well last night?" Liam asked, already knowing the answer.
"Not actually," Zayn answered as he makes himself a cup of coffee. "Hey, have you heard Jade's crying last night?" Liam looked at him confused, how did he know?
"How did you.." He trailed off. Zayn sipped his coffee before answering, "I was talking to Niall over the phone that night. He said Perrie wants to talk to Jade and-"
"Wait, Perrie was awake last night?" Liam asked him surprised. "Yeah, a strong girl isn't she?" He nodded before gesturing for Zayn to continue. "I went to her room and was about to knock but stopped when I heard her cry. So, I lied to Niall about Jade. I told him she was sleeping peacefully. I also told him that we will visit Perrie and he was happy about it."
"So, the five of us will go there later?" Zayn shooked his head. "Four of us." He corrected.
"Huh? What about Jade? We can't just leave her here, right? What if something bad happens to her again?" Liam rambled. "That problem would be solved if you just shut your mouth up and act normal." He furrowed his brows in confusion. "Wha-"
"Good morning, Jade!"
Jade jolt her head up to be met by her two brothers giving her a warm smile. She nods and takes a sit on the kitchen counter. Liam placed her meal in front of her while Zayn handed her a glass of milk. They watch her as she eats her food.
"Uhm, Jade?" Zayn called. Jade looked at him while slowly chewing the bacon inside her mouth. "Mind if you bake a dozen cookies or two? I mean, if you don't want to, I understand." He looked down, he can feel Jade's gaze on him. Soon enough, he heard her clear her throat. "Yeah- I mean no, but you know I have c-"
