For the last two days, it wasn't that interesting for Perrie. After she was released from the hospital, she was glad Jade was at her side on the way home. She offered Jade to stay in her house just for a moment, but the brunette insisted, telling her that she had a lot of works to do. The blonde reluctantly nodded and gave Jade a hug instead, which caught her off guard. She watches as Jade went inside Zayn's car and they drove off.
The next day after that, Jed went to visit Perrie. Well, not literally 'visit'. He came there just to talk about Jade. Which made Perrie's blood boil and told him to leave the house instantly. He gave her a questioning look and was demanding for answers when the blonde shoves him out of the house and slammed the door right in front of his face.
She found herself in front of the Thirlwall's residence, leaning on her motorcycle. It was Monday and she spent all morning whether or not she would pick Jade up. It took her a whole lot of time begging the address from Niall. Funny, because for some reason, she thought that Zayn might have given it to her brother, and she was right. He was reluctant at first. "That's not a good reason, Perrie. They have a car, you know that." He said. "Oh, please. It is a good reason." She insisted. The truth is, she didn't really like the thought of Jed getting close to Jade. She knows what he's up to, even if he wouldn't tell her. And right now, she could tell that Jed was inside his car, waiting for Jade with some flowers to give it to her as a peace offering. At least, there is something she could do to prevent it from happening.
The door creaked open and her head shot up. She saw a curly-haired boy on the porch, rubbing his eyes sleepily. He patted his pajamas and fixed his hair. He spotted Perrie and his eyes widen. "Edwards?" He asked, his face scrunched up in confusion. He rubbed his eyes again, just for sure he wasn't seeing things. His face lit up immediately as he saw the blonde waving her hand. "Edwards, it's you! How's the head?"
"Good morning, Harry!" She greeted back, chuckling at Harry's facial expression. He walked across the front yard towards Perrie, composing himself. He looked at the blonde's black and silver motorcycle and gaped. "Perrie, that thing is a real beaut." He said, dreamily.
"You think so?"
"Yeah," Harry looked at it momentarily then fix his gaze back to Perrie. "Oh, I almost forgot. You should go wait inside. Jade's still upstairs, probably doing her makeup." He whispered the last part as if Jade could hear them.
"It's all right, I'm fine here. By the way, how did you know I was going to-" she got interrupted when Harry laughed. "I wasn't born yesterday, Edwards." He gave her a pointed look.
"You don't mind me picking up Jade?"
"Nah. It would be a great pleasure if you will pick her up every day, maybe bring her back here after class too." She can feel her face heating up. She quickly looked away before Harry can notice. "What about your brothers and your parents?" She asked.
"Them? Oh, please. Don't worry about that. They'll be fine."
"Oh."
"Now, are you coming or.." he trailed off. "I'm fine here, really." She answered. "Okay, if you insist." He shrugged, and to Perrie's surprise, he sat down by the pavement. "Hey, what are you doing?"
"Sitting," He said nonchalantly. "Why? What's wrong?"
"Harry, you are sitting on the-"
"I know. It's obvious."
"What?"
"Nothing. I just want to give you accompany for a while." The blonde nodded and the two of them fell in comfortable silence. Perrie always caught Harry looking at her from time to time, as if he was trying to figure out something. The blonde shooked the thought away and fiddled with her helmet.
"Perrie, there's something I want to talk about." He blurted. By saying that, the blonde's heart starts to pick its rate. What talk? Is this connected to the kiss? Oh god, Perrie was starting to feel guilty about it again. She was trying to erase that in her mind for weeks, trying to forget her hell of a mistake, but failed. Is Harry still mad about it?
"Yeah?" She managed to speak.
"Louis said something to me," he started, glancing at the door. "And he said you were too familiar to him. He also mentioned 'a girl from the park'. I don't kinda get it. What is he talking about?" Perrie let out a breath she didn't know she was holding on. Then she looked at Harry as if he had grown another head.
"I don't have no idea." True. Because if she did, she would tell the curly boy right away. But the 'girl in the park' really bothered her.
"Did you and Louis have met before? Before all of this happened? I'm not sure, but a decade ago?" She frowned. There was a familiar tug in her gut that was telling her that she did meet Louis before, even Harry, but she set that feeling aside.
Perrie tried to dig deep in her memory, maybe she had met the two boys before. She wasn't sure where and when. She looked at Harry, both of them had the same puzzled expressions. "I don't know, Harry." She heard the lad sigh.
"Guess Louis was just messing around again. The two of us always do that. Setting our minds in confusion that can drive us crazy." He chuckled, shaking his head.
"It seems to me that your family is full of life." Perrie guessed.
"Yeah, you bet." He smiled at Perrie. "Oh, look who's coming." The blonde looked up, a smile crept on her face. Jade was frozen on the steps, eyes widen as if she can't believe the blonde was there. She wore an olive parka with a spotted pinafore playsuit and a cream-colored sleeveless collar shirt. She teamed it with a red bandana, wrapping around her head lazily, black knee socks and a pair of high sleek bow shoes. She's so cute, Perrie thought.
"What on earth are you doing there, aye, missy? Get out of your thoughts already!" Harry called in a weird accent, making Perrie snapped out of her reverie.
As Jade came close, Perrie's heart was thumping rapidly inside her chest, her stomach was doing somersaults. "Hi, good morning." She squeaked, she can feel her blood rushed in her face.
"H-Hi." Jade stammered. Perrie looks at her big brown eyes and was lost immediately.
"What are you guys doing? Go to school now or you'll be late." Harry said. Jade looked at her brother warily. "No kidding, Jadey, promise." He held up his hand, then draw a cross on his left chest using his finger. "There. I oath what I said." Jade glared at him playfully.
"Ahh, here's my helmet. Use it." Perrie said and gave Jade her helmet. She heard Harry cleared his throat, "I think that's my cue. Don't worry, Jadey. I'll tell Zayn that Perrie went by and picked you up." He said and leave.
"You ready?" Perrie asked.
"What are you up to, Edwards?" Jade teased, trying not to smile. "Nothing. Just want to pick up my-" she caught herself before she can say the word girl.
"You are what?" The brunette raised a playful eyebrow.
"Are you going to ride or what?" She asked, irritably. Although, a small part of her was so glad that the Jade Thirlwall she knew was slowly coming back.
"You're on, Edwards." She buckled the helmet and then walked over the motorcycle hesitatingly. Perrie grabbed this chance to tease the brunette back. "What? Are you afraid of riding this one?"
Jade scoffed. "I'm not." She swung her leg over the seat and situated herself. "Do you want to fall off the bike?" Perrie asked in a smart tone.
"No,"
"Well, then. Hold on tight." Jade placed her hands on the blonde's shoulders. "Seriously, my shoulders?" She laughed.
"What's so funny?"
"Nothing. So, you want to grip on my shoulders instead of my waist? There's a big possibility you'll fall, and no one will catch you if that happens. Welp, except for the road, and me."
Jade was taken aback, "Are you trying to flirt me, Edwards?"
Perrie shrugged, and without a warning, she turned the engine to life, making the brunette jerk in fear. "Now, you want to hold on my waist or my shoulders?"
Jade gingerly wrapped her arms around Perrie's waist. It wasn't so bad until Perrie took off. That's when Jade started screaming, "THIS IS SO NOT GOOD!"
