A/n: I forgot to mention their school bags from the previous chapter. Haha. Sorry, my bad. But here's another chapter for you guys :)
Jade hated motorcycles. She got nauseous so easily, it was more like a plague. She didn't want to mess this up, not that the moment where her dreams came true. She remembered dreaming about this all the time, Perrie picking her up on the way to school, then maybe she would bring her back to her house after class. But she wasn't expecting it to be on a motorcycle.
She hoped her condition might have improved since she left her grandpa's house. Obviously not. As soon as they left her house, Jade's stomach started to churn. She closed her eyes tightly, putting her head onto the blonde's back, making Perrie squirm uncomfortably while driving. Every time Perrie tried to speed up, Jade's clutch on her waist tightened.
Finally, they reached the school parking lot. Jade was so glad to feel the ground underneath her again. She quickly unbuckled the helmet and gave it to Perrie. "Not a great fan of riding bikes?" The blonde noticed.
"A little," Jade said, feeling the world was spinning before her. She adjusted her bag on her shoulders, rubbing her eyes afterward. "You okay?" Perrie asked, stretching her hips.
"I'm fine. Definitely fine." She lied. Perrie studied her for a moment. "I think you're not," She decided. "Here, let me help."
"No." Jade backed away then stumbled. But Perrie grabbed her before she could fall completely on the ground. "Jade." She said, raising her brow, trying to imply her point. Jade looked back at Perrie once more and sighed in defeat.
Before she could say anything, Perrie grabbed Jade's bag and swung it across her shoulder, her other hand was carrying her own school bag. "There," she adjusted it. She then faced the brunette and held her hand out. "Shall we?" Jade just looked at the blonde's hand then nodded her head. She turned around and started to walk off.
Perrie chuckled, shaking her head. "Okay." She muttered to herself and ran after the brunette, who was now meters away from the door.
Jade gasped when Perrie put her arm around her shoulders and pulled her closer. She tried to wriggle herself free but the blonde's grip was so strong to push away. She can feel hundreds of eyes looking at them. Jade looked down, not wanting to see their reactions again. The two of them continued to walk through the hallways towards Jade's locker.
"Is that Jade and Perrie? The Jade Thirlwall and the Perrie Edwards?"
"Oh, good. They've come in peace."
"Wait, am I dreaming or not?"
But there's that one thing that really caught Jade's attention.
"Hey, have you heard the news about a new student? They said he is Perrie's cousin!"
New student? Perrie's cousin? Who are they talking about?
They stopped in front of Jade's locker. She entered the code and it opened. She noticed that the blonde stood there as if she was her personal bodyguard, which reminded Jade of her stupid self doing that before. Her bag still hanging on Perrie's shoulder. "Aren't you going to go get your things in your locker?" She asked.
Perrie shrugged, "If it's fine by you. I'll be back right away." She said and settled Jade's bag down before disappearing into the crowd.
A picture fell down from her locker door, she was putting away her Biology book when she accidentally elbowed the picture. Jade groaned and bent to pick it up, but it wasn't there anymore.
"What is this? Perrie's photo?" A voice boomed behind her.
"Ah! Sheez, you scared me!" She jumped and reached for her chest. "What-" Jade stopped, her blood immediately boiled from anger. Standing there before she was a fuming Jed Elliot. His right hand was clutching two roses, while the other was holding out Jade's stolen picture of Perrie when they were sophomores- yeah, she's a creep that way.
Jade can feel her face turned pink. "Give me that." She tried to snatch it, but Jed was so fast he raised it above his head, high as Jade can't reach. She scowled, she wanted to punch Jed's face so hard his nose could break, but she didn't want to cause a scene again.
Jed looked at Jade, then to the roses, he was holding. "Why do you have her photo?" He demands.
"None of your business." She retorted. "Now, give it back."
"No." He said firmly.
"Excuse me?"
"I said. No."
"And why not?" Jade challenged, she smirked and crossed her arms, leaning her shoulder against the cold metal frame. She suddenly felt the urge to annoy Jed, and she got an idea. "C'mon! Answer me."
"Answer my question-"
"First?" Jade supplied. "Not happening."
"Well, then. I won't give you-"
"-the picture back. Dude, you're so childish." She rolled her eyes playfully.
"Hey, don't call me-"
"-childish. Yeah, now I did. Two times."
"How dare you interrupt my-"
"I'm not interrupting. I'm just finishing what you were about to say. Well, now I'm interrupting." Jade tried not to laugh at Jed's expression. The way his eyes were furrowed and his nose scrunched up, she was very sure she'd annoyed him a lot.
"You are so-"
"-Annoying. Yeah, I get that comment gazillion times already. I'm pretty much used to it." She shrugged. Jed glared at her as if he was on the verge of bursting out. His face red, jaw clenched so tight. His shoulders were shaking a bit. And Jade knew she should be running away from him right now. "So will you give the photo back or not? 'Cause I won't stop this if you don't."
Jed shoved the picture into the brunette's chest and left without a word. Jade chuckled, she didn't know the reason why it felt so good to tease Jed like that. She smiled to herself at her accomplishment.
"Hey," Perrie greeted once Jade had closed her locker.
"Hey." She greeted back.
"I saw Jed came from here. He looked a bit aggravated- if that's the word. Anyways, what did he say?" Jade looked at Perrie for a moment then burst out laughing. The blonde frowned, "what?"
"I'll tell you later." She said, but then she remembered something and her face flushed. "I, uh, I mean-"
"It's fine. Actually, I was going to ask you if it's okay to sit with you during lunch..?" She said nervously, scratching the back of her neck. The brunette was dumbfounded in her spot. Butterflies start to swirl crazily in her stomach. Is this really the Perrie Edwards she knew?
Because right now, Perrie should be ignoring her like she usually does. Perrie should be walking down this hall with all her guards up, trying to be the badass she is. She should be giving Jade blunt comments whenever they are near to each other. She should be snapping at her or telling her to stay away. Not to offer her a ride to school, helping Jade to carry her book bag, and asking her to sit with her during lunch.
It made her wonder, how hard the impact was? Did Kyle Simons really whack her head that hard?
"Jade?" She was suddenly pulled out of her thoughts. "Is there something on my face?" Perrie asked, feeling self-conscious. Jade shooked her head. "No. Why?"
"You're looking at me funny."
"Oh."
The bell rang.
Their eyes met for a second. Jade quickly looked away. "Can I walk you to your class?" Perrie asked. And again, the brunette was dumbfounded.
"Sure," she managed to speak. "And, oh, Perrie?"
"Yes?"
"I'd love to join you during lunch."
Perrie's eyes widen as if she can't believe it. "Really?"
"Yup." To Jade's surprise, Perrie pulled her in a hug. "Thank you." The blonde whispered in her ear. Jade can feel tingles in her skin. She patted Perrie's back. "No biggie," She said. "I think we should get going now or else we'll be late."
Perrie pulled away, "Yeah, you're right."
