I was five at the time and really I shouldn't have lived. I was asleep when it started, and when my mother came into my room to try and get me out, it was to late for her. She had breathed in too much smoke and passed out dead in front of five year old me.
Because the fire was so strong, I was stuck in my room and couldn't get out. At least not before half of my face was burnt off, leaving charred bone and a dead eye in its wake.
I live with one of the firefighters that helped bring me out of the house. Now adays I get bullied because of my face and I don't have friends. Except Connor and Evan.
We kinda make up the "Loser Squad" of the school.
I don't mind because I hate people. People have always ruined shit for me. Connor and Evan are really the only people I trust. Well them and (D/n), my adoptive father.
Suprisingly, I have a boyfriend, but of course it's Connor. He protects me and makes sure I don't get beaten to a pulp after school like I used to. I feel like a burden to Connor sometimes though.
Most of the time, I'm just sick of feeling useless to people. But whatever.
I feel bad about the boys having to be seen with a monster like me. I'm ugly and don't deserve anything I have. I'm not even supposed to be alive. Im just glad someone cares about me.
One night Connor and I had a movie night and I wanted to watch Titanic, so we did. The night was going great until Connor had to ruin it.
"(Y/n) I think you should move schools." He tells me, and I choke on the coke I had been drinking.
"Excuse me?" I ask. He nods his head, as if confirming.
"I mean it. I don't want you getting any more hurt than you already are." I sit up off his lap and look at him, shocked.
"You think I'll get any better at another school? Or are you just trying to get rid of me? I knew it. No one really cares about me. It's just a hoax! You make me love you then shatter my heart!" I yell and then storm off. "No one actually cares about me.. I knew it...."
I run to the bathroom and lock my self in.
"Why did he give up on me.." I sob quietly to my self. (Que (Y/n) in the Bathroom)
"(Y/n)!" (I JUST SWALLOWED A FUCKING SKITTLE HOLY SHIT THAT HURT) He Yells At me through the door.
"I love you more than anything and you should know that. I have never gotten the chance to love, but I'm glad I love you. You're the only thing in the world that gives me a purpose." He tells me, making my tears fall down my face at a faster rate. "Please, let me in" he pleads, his words just barely a whisper. I hesitate before unlocking the door, letting him in. I don't pick my head up to look at him.
I'm too ashamed.
He picks me up and sets me in his lap, my head rests against his chest.
"You're beautiful, you always have been and always will be." He whispers into my ear before I slip into a light sleep, my body tired.
After i fall asleep Connor starts whispering sweet nothings too me. His soothing voice echos in my mind.
Making me feel ok.

Her name is Brownie, she's a Grey Tabby and Tiger mix 10 week kitten. I've had her for about a week and have been very busy with her. I hope you guys forgive me but I am gonna be uploading every couple days now
