Taehyung peeked out of the door once before taking quick steps towards the pistol that I'd tossed away. He picked the weapon up and admired it for a few seconds before shoving it back into his belt.
I watched him move gracefully to the other side of the room to grab his jacket and fish it's pockets to pick out a key.
"Here we go!" He grinned and I stood rooted to the spot.
The hotel was surrounded completely. Father had traced the call and unlike me, he was a smart and experienced man. It wouldn't have taken long for him to realise that V was still in the same hotel, only a few rooms away. The sirens got louder and I could hear helicopters surround the tall building completely. Where would Tae even go?
I followed him quietly as he rushed out of the room into the corridor. Quickly running to the elevator, he pressed the button and waited for the doors to slide open and it soon did.
Why wasn't he dragging me around this time?
"Oh, Ji Yeon-ah" he turned to face me.
"Yeah?"
"Miss me" he grinned wide and it was the rectangular smile which was purely gums and teeth that I adored so much.
He stretched his arms out as if waiting for a hug which I never gave. I only stared at him until the elevator doors opened with a ping behind him.
"Aren't you taking me with you?" I questioned.
"No" he shook his head, "Your father seems to be worried. I'm leaving you for him" he paused, "for a while".
"Why are you being nice to me?" I narrowed my eyes at him.
"I've always been nice to you" He sighed before stepping forward and wrapping my smaller form up in a tight hug.
His lips were on my ear again and no matter how many times he did it, I could never get used to the feeling as shivers ran down my spine.
"I'll come get you soon" he mumbled, his lips moving against my skin. Before pulling away, he pressed a kiss on my cheek and slid back into the open elevator.
"See you" he winked.
"There's no way out!" I reached out as the doors started sliding shut.
"I'm V. I always find a way out" he smirked and disappeared from my sight.
I watched the little screen by the side to see which floor he was headed to and as I'd expected, he went down to the basement.
"Surrender yourself V!" I heard a familiar voice announce , through the speakers. It was Jihyun.
I wasn't sure if it was disappointment that I felt watching him leave, or was I just feeling sick? The feeling was outlandish and the way the man walked away without another word made me want to yank him back and arrest him just so I could spend a few more hours in his company.
"Officer!" I heard a loud voice bounce off the walls of the hallway and when I focused my gaze, I noticed that it was Hyun Woo who came running in my direction.
"Ay Hyunnie!" I grinned, taking quick steps toward the boy before giving him a quick but tight hug.
"Ow ow.." He winced when I pulled away and I smacked his head.
"Couldn't you come get me sooner?" I asked.
"We couldn't trace your phone.." He pouted, "do you have it?".
Fuck, no! I don't.
Digging my only two pockets, I ran back into the room I'd earlier woken up in. Climbing onto the bed, I rummaged through covers and comforter only to find my phone tucked away under the pillow.
