Poem #25

"I'm laying in bed
My heart threatening to beat out of my chest
At the single thought of your hands wrapped in mine
When your eyes land on me
And your lips curve into a smile that would make the sun itself jealous
Butterflies take over my stomach
And I resist the urge to just stare
The longing that has planted itself in my heart is breaking me
Piece by piece
Till one day I'm going to hand you my heart
That is broken in so many ways
Because I know you can't love me
It's just not possible
But that won't stop me from loving you
And all your imperfections."
