"Don't ask me to describe myself
I won't be able to do it
Because who I really am is shoved up into the smallest part of my body and sealed away in a box
Because she was too innocent
Too pure and sweet for this world
She would hand out pieces of herself to anyone, saying they needed it more
And then she would cry because she didn't understand where her happiness went
This girl, she felt the need to be loved too strongly
And craved to be worth something
Even though she knew deep down she was the best creation on earth, there was still something missing
So before this world could tear her apart anymore, I folded her up and tucked her away
Despite the noose tightening around my neck, I still keep her locked away
I want to keep her safe
Her giggles and smiles
Her pig tails and big warm brown eyes
Her precious heart and accepting soul
And everything in between
I want to protect it all
And it's better too feel nothing then everything at once
I'd rather swim then drown in myself."
