"Everyone said she was beautiful
Everyone loved how strong she was
And admired her sunshine personality
But what they didn't know
Is what they couldn't see
The marks on her skin
How fake her smile was
The amount of food she threw away
But everyday the same people complimented her choice of words
And said how they loved her
Would they still love her, if they knew what went on in her head?
How she screams that she hates herself when she looks in the mirror
And the deadly thoughts running across her mind at 1 a.m when everyone's sound asleep.
But she holds it all together
Each piece of her broken self is tied to the other by a simple string of hope.
Hope that one days she'll really be happy. That she'll love herself. That she can believe what other people tell her.
But for right now,
She just wants to feel important.
To feel the relief of pain.
She just wants to be loved."
