"I flash a smile
And wave for awhile
I look up at the sky
And tell people I don't wanna die
I tug on my sleeves
So no one leaves
They say they're proud
Quite very loud
I laugh a little more
But my legs are sore
I push away my meal
So maybe I'll feel
Once more
The rest of my day is quiet
Well except for my mind
It's a riot
I try to talk my troubles away
But everyone just tells me to have a good day
I forgot they think I'm happy
And they aren't being snappy
I'm good at playing a role
That I've never even been told
Maybe when I'm old
I'll be a rainbow
And I won't have to be sold
But for today
I'm just a pretending I'm okay."
