People always say happiness is an option
It's a choice
Well then I choose to be sad
Because id rather drown in my sadness then get high off fake happiness
happiness is just a 'in the moment thing'
And moments end
And people stain their wrist red
And everyone falls in love, like I did with you
Only to get hurt, and turn their heart blue
I'd rather drown in my sadness
Then get high off fake happiness
Because happiness will fade along with the feeling
And you can't get it back and the hole in your soul isn't worth it
I'd rather drown in my sadness
Then get high off fake happiness
Because fake happiness is still the worst
And I'd rather own that I'm sad
Then lie that I'm happy
So if you're giving me the choice
I choose sadness
And I'll keep choosing it
Because nothing good last forever
And I don't wanna keep being scared of when it'll come to an end."
