Poem #67

"This is dedicated to those who love me
To those who can look past my imperfections and see something in me that I can't
To those who've never given up on me and my broken self
Even if I pour my heart out to you guys, fearing you'll leave me after you see that I'm not the sunshine everyone says I am
After I scream at you guys that I'll hurt you one day
You only brought me closer, picking up my chipped pieces and helping me glue them back together
This goes out to those who've held me while I've cried tears that stained your shirt
To those who hugged me so tight and so close that it kept me from falling to scattered pieces at their feet
Thankyou for letting me fall in love with the rhythm of your heart beat and the sound of your assuring breath
This goes out to those who I've never even met in person
I have not seen or touched your hand like I have the others
But your feelings are what made you real to me
The fact that I never met you, yet you still want me
That you would still cry over my death
That you still love me, like I'm your old friend
I give all that's left of me and my heart to those who've done the same to me
You guys are the best set of untouchable masterpieces I've yet to love
And I want to care for you guys
Each and everyone soul
Until every last raindrop from your storm has fallen
Because you have planted a seed in my broken heart and now it's a damn garden
And it's so beautiful."
