Hey
By Chris Rolfe
Hey, how are you today?
If you'd ask me the same question,
I will definitely say, "I'm okay."
even if I'm missing you every each day.
Hey, it's been months I guess,
when you left the school and take a rest.
I know you really need to take a break,
but I want to see you at the end of the day.
Hey, do you still listen to Halsey?
Every time her songs play on my playlist,
my memories with you started to hit me,
like a tornado messing up with my brain.
Hey, I became worried,
That you might stop talking to me when you're already gone,
that I might stop talking to you when you're gone,
and damn, the latter really happened.
Hey, I'm not really good at apologies,
and I tend to hurt you more when I speak more.
I don't like to give you pain but I already did,
and I even pushed myself away from you.
Hey, I'm sorry if I put up all my dramas,
I'm sorry if you think I've forgotten about you,
I'm sorry if I didn't comfort you when you cried,
The truth is, I'm really fucking afraid to see you walk away.
Hey, it's better late than never,
and this is the farewell letter I should have gave to you,
before you leave the school where we met each other,
and promised to be always together.
Hey, I hope you're doing fine.
I've witnessed your ups and downs,
and I still love you after all this time.
Shit happens, but we'll get through it.
Hey, I want to say thank you for everything.
For lighting my mood up when you laugh,
for being deranged like a broken glass,
shattered to pieces but still flashing a smile.
Hey, I'm happy because I got a chance to met you,
I got to be friends with someone like you,
I'll never find another person the same as you,
and I hope you can forgive me after all the things I've done to you.
Hey, all I can say is Hey.
I don't want to say goodbye nor farewell.
There is nothing good at goodbyes,
and there is nothing well at farewell.
Hey, It's nearly impossible now,
But I'm still hoping that we can talk again.
Bring back the smiles, hugs and laughs we used to have,
and make new memories together.

If ever you'll read this, I want you to know that I don't like the idea of having "We don't talk anymore" as our theme song. Hahahha. Labyu Bakla!
