Porcelain skin, eyes with the color of the ocean, hair as smooth as a silk; the girl could not help herself but admire the glass doll within her hands.
She sighed, "I want to be beautiful like you."
The doll's eyes glinted, and a cunning smile graced its lips. "As you wish, little one."
Suddenly, a blinding light consumed them, and the girl felt her soul wrenched from her body. As she screamed in terror, the creature inside the doll took her place, now occupying the empty vessel.
"We have granted each other's desires," the creature laughed, peering down at the girl's trapped soul inside the glass doll. "You have gained beauty and I became human."
