"Bye Jay, see you tomorrow!" Evena called as Jay walked towards his parents polished red car. The home time bell had rung and Evena was waiting for her mum. A few girls snickered as they passed her. Evena sighed and stepped back. Right in to Alice. "Whoa! Watch it. Has fairy dust blinded you now?" she retorted and her little fans giggled. "Oh, uh sorry, but what's wrong in believing in things you guys haven't seen? Maybe you guys don't deserve to," Evena defended turning around. Alice crossed her pale arms over her chest and focused her large glimmering blue eyes on Evena.

"Maybe because you think you're going to get popular from a fake thing. Fake. Me? Real things. Plus, you've already ruined your reputation. Remember you used to have friends? But, well you wasted them. They're better of without you anyways. Even your mum is fed up. That's why she treats you like dirt. Well, the way your supposed to be treated," Alice flicked her glossy soft long blonde curls over her shoulder where it hung down her waist.

What she had said was a punch to the stomach. It was all true. All of it. Evena felt tears threatening to fall and a lump in her throat formed. She started feeling hot and sweaty and her eye's went deaf other than the sound of the girls laughing. Alice could so much to a person verbally. "That's not true!" Evena choked and her vision went blurry with tears as some of the girls repeated the last bit about her mum. "Aw little Jay-Jay isn't here to protect his girlfriend," Alice mocked as she turned on her teal high heels and threw her head back with the girls following in her wake.

Evena heard the screech of her mum's car and she hurriedly wiped her tears and got in. Any other child would tell their mum or dad or both about what had happened. But Evena couldn't.
