Bruises are strange.
When held under light, they turn bright and cannot be noticed,
when held in shadow, their color turns to its true shade.
My bruises come from nowhere.
They appear on my skin like weeds in grass.
They usually never turn too dark, but now, they've turned dark dark purple.
There's a bruise located just on the inside of my wrist, where I rest my hands safely on the desk.
I can never really find out when I get certain bruises,
I just know they go away only after several months.
