(Saerah)
I don't know what was sweeter, the hum of arcane as it flew from my bow, or the smiles of the Pandaren when we returned their camp to its former glory.
General Nazgrim was on his feet once again, nothing could keep him down long. He wore bandages instead of armor, all bleeding through. Wounds would not get in the way if the challenge ahead.
After the yaungul fell back, word quickly got out about my heroism. Instantly, the Horde's Pandaren campaign no longer consisted of just us five. We were overwhelmed by the amount of refugees offering their service to the Horde. Nazgrim feverishly barked orders at them as the trained to become warriors.
As for Taylor, I have no idea what happened to him. The snake slipped away before I could return to Nazgrim. His wounds slightly more critical, I doubted he would do well on his own.
Now I was given a much simpler task, one ordered by none other than the amazing chef Rivett. I had the pleasure of hunting the meat to feed all our new recruits. I almost felt bad, but this time Rivett promised rocket fuel would not be the main ingredient in his slop. Quite an improvement from when we met on the zeppelin.
I didn't mind the downgrading task, it reminded me of simpler times, and also let me get away from all the action. With bow in hand, I'm in my own world, and happiest when no one other intrudes it. Hunting is the one thing that will always be mine.
Besides, once word gets out back at home about my deeds, I won't have much time like this to myself.
Speaking of home, I did have a promise to keep to a particular tauren. Poor Baine, I must have worried him sick. To think I last wrote before meeting Anduin made me realize how long it had been. What I would say, well, in still unsure, but it would be polite to let him know everything is ok.
"There she is, hey kiddo! Look at the size of that bird! Taught her everything she knows..." he boasted to two pandaren girls, who turned to me and giggled alongside me.
"Someone's humble. This should do it, I hope." I set the bird on the chopping block hoping my chores were through.
"Eh, hard to say. These bear people eat an awful lot. It's good for now, but don't mope if I send ya out for more later." He wistled a goblin work tune as he sharpened his knife.
"Still, I got enough for two portions each based on my last head count." I argued.
"Well, better count again, they're still coming." He pointed at the road. The flow had broken quite a bit, yes, but there were still pandaren marching. They too had come to see the visions of the Horde."
"Then I'm doing my job." My arms glistened in the sun. Kun Lai was a much different terrain, it's rolling hills flourished in wild grasses as far as the eye could see, not a tree to shade me. In the far off distance was Mount Neverest, it's snowcapped peaks were straight out of a storybook.
"Y'know, when you left, we all made bets on how long it would be before you killed Anduin."
"Did you now?" I found it kind of funny, the fact that they thought I was that short fused.
"Yeah, I won. You really aren't the killin' type, if ya know what I mean. You gotta have a purpose for it." He flipped his 'mystery meat surprise'.
"When we crashed here..." I argued.
"Nope, that was life or death. Look, it's not bad to not be a bloodthirsty killer. Nothing good comes out of killin' just to kill."
"Like Garrosh in Theramore..." I muttered.
