"I'm starting to think you're a bit jealous of her." I confronted Kiryn as we searched the beach for abandoned supply crates- not without searching them for bombs first, of corse!
"Try cautious," she countered, "I don't like how close you two have gotten. I know it's an act, but something tells me not all of it is..."
"Don't make such a fuss about it... Get to cover!" I shouted as another cannonball soared towards the beach. It missed it's mark, domination point, and instead hit the sand with great force, sending it in all directions and leaving a crater.
"You ok?" One of the grunts called out from the watchtower.
I saluted him to say all is well and carried on.
"It's undamaged," noted Kiryn, "let's take it with us and call it a day. There's been o many missed cannonballs today I'm starting to think we're the targets!"
"Valurine doesn't know it's an act." I wasn't just going to let her drop the conversation, "Her friendship is sincere."
"You don't need friends on their side, it'll make you soft. You've got me, Shokia, Rivett, Goraff, and Nazgrim. Well, Nazgrim's more of an uncle to you, but still, all you need from them is the blonde boy."
"Anduin." I corrected.
"Right... Hey Rivett, we brought you another cannonball! Where do you want it?"She dropped it at the goblin's feet, but he ignored it.
Rivett and his brat of a girlfriend were reunited at last. All he had done the past week is work on making her a private villa while she sat on her butt.
"Riv the zombie and beef want ya!" She screeched.
"Yeah yeah I know what they want! Be a dear and put it in the pile would ya, Kiryn?" He called out.
It didn't take long before she was pulling him outside by the ear.
As we walked to the pile with him, we interrogated him about his witch of a girlfriend.
"What can I say? She's not that bad when she gets some sleep, the peons in the barracks snore like crazy. So I'm building her a villa. She's a little bossy, but a woman that beautiful has earned a right to an attitude."
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Kiryn mumbled as we walked away to ask Nazgrim what he wanted is to do with our salvage.
Something was wrong. As we climbed the hill to the bonfire where he stood, we found him surrounded by frantic sunreavers.
"Saerah, set those down for now, I've been waiting." He said impatiently.
"Is everything ok, commander?" Asked Kiryn.
"Go report to Shokia, Kiryn, she could use some help on the isles."
"Yes, sir!"
"Another mission from Hellscream, sir?" I tried to ease the tension.
"No. a mission, but not from Hellscream. As we knew they would, the night elves discovered the bell was missing. However, they also found out that the "neutral" sunreavers were involved. We have a situation in Dalaran..."
"Oh no..." Jaina.
"I already have a ride set up for you, when you get to Dalaran speak with Rommath. Go!"
I ran to the flight master, but as I left, I couldn't help but overhear the conversation between Nazgrim and the elves. They thanked him for sending me, and Nazgrim said the Warchief wouldn't like it...
*
I was dropped off in the sewers of Dalaran, where I found Rommath hiding.
"I swear you have a gift of showing up at just the right time. It's not a good day for the Horde in Dalaran. Jaina is having all the sunreavers exiled from Dalaran. The sewers are calm but it's war up there."
