Scarlett's POV:

No Accident. The words ran through my head, echoing and taunting me, it was Harry who eventually spoke.

"You're telling me that this fire was lit on purpose?" Harry said confidently, his voice demanding answers.

"Yes, you see when the fire brigade do a forensics investigation they take samples of ash from where the fire damage is at its worst, in your case by the front door. The results revealed that traces of gasoline where found inside the ash."

"I don't get it, what difference does it make if there's gas in the ash." I spoke quietly, before looking over to Harry, I could tell instantly by the way he sat; his jaw rigid and his fists clenched that he knew the answer.

"Well, if gas is found by the front door it usually means that it has been poured through the letterbox followed by a lighter or match. This makes an instant fire that basically catches onto anything." The officer didn't really have time to finish before Harry interrupted him.

"Well did you catch who it was? How do you know for sure that was what actually happened anyway?" Harry spoke quickly and almost incoherently, but the officer must of understood him because in regard to his last question he held up a small clear plastic bag marked with the word 'evidence', inside it was a square silver lighter.

"This was found in the ruins. We've run it for fingerprints and ruled out both of yours, so were waiting for the next results to see we can gather any prints from it."

The officer talked for a while longer, organising a second meeting with us to discuss if any more traces came back and to follow up on the texts I'd received, most importantly the one the night before the fire. When he finished he escorted me and Harry back to the reception area were we walked back to the car in silence, a tense atmosphere still between us. My stomach was still in knots and suddenly tears spilt over as the reality of the situation washed over me, Harry glanced back to look at me but carried on walking towards the car, what was his problem?

I stared out the window on the drive back to the hotel we were staying in, me and Harry still in silence. I watched the bleak rain trickle down the window; watched the London pedestrians pass by getting on with their day to day lives; watched the homeless curl up seeking only warmth and shelter. My mind flicked to all the things I'd lost in the fire, all my old pictures and possessions where gone, some of which I'd never be able to replace, but I counted my lucky stars that I was safe, we were safe, and reminded myself that things could be so much worse. Suddenly Harry's tired voice broke the silence and brought me out of my thoughts.

"You wanna get some takeout for dinner?"

"You're speaking to me now huh?" I snapped, still slightly annoyed that he knew I was upset coming out of the police station but chose to ignore it.

"We just got told somebody purposely lit a fire in out apartment! Wouldn't you expect me to be a bit pissed off and quiet?" He snapped back, the veins he only got when he was angry popping out his neck and his knuckles turning white against the steering wheel.

"Yes, that doesn't mean you have to take it out on me Harry! I'm in the same situation here." I said not even having the energy to shout anymore.

"I'm not taking this out on you Scarlett; just give me a fucking minute to get my head round all this shit, instead of picking a fight every minute!" Harry shouted back his temper reaching boiling point as he slammed his hand against the steering wheel.

"You think I want to pick a fight with you Harry huh? Oh I'm sorry for being the annoying girlfriend that shouts because her own boyfriend won't speak to her when she's upset." I shouted back, just wanting to get back to the hotel so I could leave the car.

"You ever stop to think how I feel! I'm upset as well; I can't comfort you when for Christ's sake I can't even comfort myself!"

I looked up to see we were at the hotel. I opened the door storming out into the pouring rain, my hair instantly sticking to my cheeks and the smell of warm humid rain hitting my senses. When I finally found the room Harry had booked I dug around for the key he slipped in my back pocket, opened the door, located the bathroom and locked myself in it, I was tired of this shit. I looked around, the bathroom was pretty basic, it had a bath that could also be a shower, the basin was lined with mini toiletries and the whole room was tiled white and grey. A few minutes later I heard Harry open the door and shut it behind him.

"Scarlett?" He shouted, by the tone of his voice he seemed to have calmed down a little. I heard him shuffle around the room before trying to turn the bathroom door handle. He twisted it a couple of times before realising I was in there.

"Scar baby open the door please. I'm sorry I didn't mean any of that, I'm just pissed." I didn't answer, instead I sat curled in a ball my back resting on the door, taking deep breaths. Harry knocked and wiggled the door handle a couple more times.

"Scarlett open the fucking door" Angry Harry was back.

"Shit I'm sorry just please open the door, I can make it all better I promise." His tone dropped and he sounded defeated, like there was no hope left. Harry relied on me and I relied on Harry, it was how it had always worked. He was the lighter that kept the little spark inside me alight, even in my darkest days he kept the glimmer going; it was how I knew as long as I had him everything would be ok somehow. The strong Harry who had been my rock for my whole life was slowly breaking, he'd saved me twice and now it was my turn to save him. I'd never known my own strength until I'd seen how strong Harry's love made me.

I stood up and unlocked the door. Before I even had chance to look at him Harry swept me into his embrace wrapping my legs around his waist. He moved us over to the bed that dominated most of the room and sat down with me still attached to him.

"You know I love you baby. I didn't mean any of that shit in the car. I'm gonna make this better alright, I'm gonna take care of you, I promise." He said quietly his eyes never leaving mine.

"It's time for me to take care of you to Harry." I mumbled against his soft lips, before he entangled his hands in my hair and pressed our lips together where the taste of Harry exploded in my mouth. We are delightfully chaotic; a beautiful mess but we'd make it somehow.
