-"Why is Avery going with her?" Rose comes to table and asks, worried.

-"Sophia wanted to talk with her." I shrug.

-"Everything's okay?" Alessa asks, also worried.

-"I think so." I look between the two of them. "Sophia seemed worried that everyone will hate her, including Avery."

-"That's it?"

-"It seemed like it...in the end. I don't know. I don't want to think of other motives." I shake my head and take a deep breath. "Until proven otherwise, I'll believe she's only fighting for their friendship."

-"Good, Emma." Alessa smiles. "Very mature."

-"I try!" I glance over at the door and see Avery entering the bar again, without Sophia.

-"Did she leave?" Rose immediately asks as soon as Avery reaches our table.

-"Yes." Avery says still standing behind an unoccupied chair. "Emma, do you want to get some air? Talk?"

-"Hmm..." My heart stops and I glance at Rose and Alessa who's eyes are wide open, staring at me. "Is there something wrong?"

-"No!" She answers instantly. "I just want to talk to you, and there's too much noise here, and a lot of interruptions. No offense ladies."

-"Non taken!" Alessa and Rose speak at the same time.

-"Sure." I get up from my seat. "We'll be back. Don't disappear on me, Alessa...Not again!"

-"That was one time, Emma! Get over it." We all giggle and Alessa starts telling that 'one time' story to Rose.

Avery stretches her hand and I grabs mine, intertwining our fingers as I follow her trough the sea of people until we're outside.

As soon as we step outside, I shiver at the temperature difference. Avery sees and gently pulls me into a hug.

I put my arms around her waist and bury my face into her neck.

-"Everything okay, Avery?" I say against her skin, making her twitch her neck.

-"Yes, Emma. Sorry if I got you worried. I just wanted to be with you alone and make sure you're okay. Are you?" She speaks directly into my ear.

-"I'm sorry. With Alessa here we have less time for ourselves." I say as I pull back so I can look into her eyes.

-"And you're leaving with her, so we'll have to find a way to be alone...if you know what I mean." She wiggles her eyebrows and leans in to kiss me.

-"Mhmm mhmm." I mumble into the kiss and nod.

-"You didn't answer me." She says as she pulls back from the kiss. "Are you okay?"

-"I am, Ave." I sigh. "I didn't like it, though. But I'm okay, if you're okay?"

-"I am. She apologized for dropping unannounced and explained why she was scared that I would hate her."

-"She's scared of losing you?" I ask and she nods. "That's all? Nothing...romantic? Do I have to fight her?"

-"No." She snorts. "She also apologized for misinterpreted her feelings towards me in the past, and how much she made me suffer. She also thanked me for moving past it and allowing our friendship to heal."

-"Good. That's good. Friendship is good." I bite my lower lip and she lean forward to capture it with her teeth.

-"I'm so lucky to have found you." She speaks between short kisses. "You are amazing. Kind. Understanding. Good. Cute. Sexy. Beautiful..."
