Another Request for Fandomz_Fangirl. Hope you like it! Angsty, sad, and short though. Sorry!

===============================================

There was a kind girl on camp who always smiled.

Her name was (Y/n).

She was breathtakingly beautiful in the eyes of anyone who ever glanced at her flawless features.

Yet, she never smiled.

She never smiled a real smile.

A grin was always found on her face, but it never came from her heart. Nor her soul.

There was a kind boy on camp who always smiled.

His name was Henry.

He was odd and creepy in the eyes of anyone who ever glanced at his statue-sculpted smile.

Yet, he never smiled.

He never smiled a real smile.

A grin was always found on his face, but it never came from his heart. Nor his soul.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Henry?" She spoke quietly, almost as if she was afraid to disturb the gentle wind that encased her in a smooth, cold cocoon.
"Hmm?" He turned to her, his eyes still closed, just like they always were.
That smile on his face. Just like it always was.
"Do you think... Do you think that things will go back to how they were? Will everything be happy again... Like it always was?"
"You can never know for sure, (Y/n). No one knows. But you can always greet whatever comes with a smile, can't ya? Nyah ha!"
"I..."
She sniffled slightly.
"I suppose I can, Henry."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Henry?"

"Yeah?"

"Why do we smile so much? Why do we smile when we never mean it?"

"..."

"Henry...?"

"It's because smiles make everything better, (Y/n). One smile can cause a million. One smile can thaw a frozen heart. One smile can brighten the world from grey to a multitude of colors."

Henry began to hum delightfully, his eyes closed as he rocked back and forth, the crow on the ground in front of him staring at him curiously as he did so.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Henry..."
There was no response.
"Henry... please. Talk to me."
There was still no response.
"H-Henry... please... I can't smile anymore. I can't put up this grin and make it count anymore. I can't smile and make everyone think I'm OK when you aren't here to make me even slightly believe that I may be OK."
A crow cawed. Was he listening?
Your arms wrapped around your torso, shivering and shaking as you began to whimper.
The Cloak around your shoulders still smelled like him. It helped you to sleep sometimes, although it could never keep you as warm as he could in the darkened hours.
You licked your chapped lips, a hopeless attempt to make them feel a little less dry and broken than they did before.
"Henry... I don't like this..." You sobbed, hanging your head as you heard distant thunder. A storm was coming.
Your sobbing turned into full-on crying. Tears blended with the Rain, and you wondered if the Sky was crying for you as well. Did the Inky Blue Abyss feel pity?
"(Y/n)..."
You didn't even move your head. The Feminine Voice of Chrom's Wife, Robin, was clear and unique among the troops.
Every night, she came and got you. Every night, she hugged you as you cried, just as any good friend would.
But, as you were held tightly and being escorted to the warm boundaries that were the Camp, only one thought ran through your mind.
You could never smile anymore. Not even a forced one.
You couldn't physically smile when the man who helped you and taught you how to smile was buried six feet under, his smile now gone and forced away from your eyes forever.
A crow cawed again amongst the rain. Maybe he was listening after all.
