CHAPTER 2: LIVING WITH GRANDMA OR THAT GUY?

Jennie's pov

School is gonna start next months. After a hours my moving truck came and put all of my furniture into my empty bedroom. My grandma shook her head after seing a lot of stuff coming from the truck. After they put all of the stuff in my room, I started to unpacked all of the stuff and clean the room. I've made a decision to not bringing my gucci's outfit because I want to live in seoul as a normal citizens with a normal life. I want to see how people act with me when they have no idea about my background. I want to find a true and honest people at that school. Taehyung already knows who I am because my grandma told him about me.

Even if he knows who I am he still look like he didn't even care. I'm guessing he's a really honest person.

"Jennie-ah.. come to the kitchen I've prepared some gimbap for you.." grandma said to me while I'm busy unpacking my stuff.

"yes grandma, I'll be there in a minute." I said and tied my hair.

I was on my way to the kitchen and saw Taehyung sitting on the other side of the dining table.

"yahh, why is he still here? Shouldn't he be at home now?" I thought to myself.

I sat at the dining the table and face him. I made an annoyed face and said

"why are you still here?".

"why do you even care?"he said.

"of course I care, this is my grandma's house and why are you still here.

"Jennie don't say that to him.. even if he stays here late it'll be alright" grandma said.

Why does grandma backed him up? I'm her real grandchild not him!.

"just eat your food honey before you starved" Grandma said and smile towards me.

"no one's waiting for me at home. Can I stay over for the night here mrs.Kim?" he said to my grandma.

I widened my eyes and look at my grandma.

"sure Taehyung, it would be nice to have more people in the house. You can sleep at the guest room tonight. There are some clothes there for you to change too." She said.

"thanks mrs.Kim" he said.

I was shocked by my grandma's words. Did she prepared everything for him so that he can stay here or what?.

"But grandma why did you let him stay here? He's not even our family.." I whined.

"jennie please treat our guest with respect.. I know Taehyung is not a family member but he's like an adopted child to me" grandma said to me with a straight face.

I let out a sigh and nodded. I can see that she's being serious right now.

After finished our food I took all of their plates to wash it.

While I'm washing the dishes I can sense a person standing behind me. I turned my back and saw Taehyung standing behind me. He was so close to me. I backed up a bit so I can see his face clearly.

"what are you doi-.." I didn't even get a chance to finish my sentence because he cut me off.

"why do you even want to live here? Aren't you happy living overseas?" he said.

"what? Why would I tell you? I can do whatever I wanted to it's my li-.." I was cutted again because he moves his head closer to my face.

I was shocked and lost for words at the moment.

"if you're going to live here, don't cause any trouble little miss." He said. I was confused.

"what trouble?" I said while moving backwards.

He came closer and whispered.."you'll see.." he said and then smirked at me. He moved back and left me confused.

"Wtf did he just say?" I said.

I tried to continue washing the dishes but my mind keep replaying his words 'don't cause any trouble little miss'.

Taehyung's pov

"Man.. I can't believe I said that to her..." I said while hitting my head to the wall.

"what if she thinks I'm a weirdo or some pervert guy?" I thought.

"no..no..no.. what if she tells mrs.Kim about it?"I thought again..

"then I'll be ruined..that's not even cool though..." I said.

"what will be ruined?" mrs.Kim said.

"nothing, just thinking about what will happen if I quit school now.."I lied to her.

She just came out of nowhere I didn't have time to make a good reason.

"oh.. is that so.." she said and smile at me.

"can you take jennie to buy her school supplies tomorrow at the mall... I can't take her there.. I have to open my restaurant tomorrow.."she said.

"what? The mall? With her?" I said.

"yes.. she's still new here.. she'll be needing someone to help her going places.."she said.

"ohh.. okay I'll guide her to the mall tomorrow."I said

"grandma I can go there myself.. I don't need tour guide" jennie came in.

"no.. I won't let you go to the big city alone.. it's dangerous!" mrs.kim said.

"But..." jennie said.

"no more excuses..you'll go there with Taehyung or you'll be going to school with no school supplies." Mrs.Kim said.

"Fine... I'll go with him" jennie said while glared at me. Was she really mad or she's just tired?

The night has come.. I went to the yard and saw jennie talking to someone on the phone. It was her sister. She's really close to her sister.. I'm jealous..

She saw me coming at the yard and ended her call.

"what is it now?" she said.

"nothing, I just want the see the night sky here" I said while gazing at the stars at the sky.

She followed my gaze and looked at the sky together.

"it's really calm here... I like it" she said.

"what do you mean? Don't you look at stars at New Zealand too?"I asked her.

"no..i don't have time to do so.. I'm always busy with school projects and friends inviting me to hang out all night at the city" she said.

"did your parents know you're going out with your friends?" I asked her.

"sometimes I told them.. and sometimes I told my sister.. don't think of it in a weird way okay? I didn't go to some weird place..i only went to an amusement park, the cinema and the arcade with my friends.." she said.

I chuckled seeing her react to my simple question.

"why are you laughing?"she said.

"you're being too honest.. I didn't even say you're going to some weird place with your friends.." I said.

I didn't realize I was smiling throughout the whole conversation.

She smiled back at me and said..
"yeah I'm a pretty straight forward girl.. I said what came across my mind"

"jennie.. I want to apologise for my act at you in the kitchen today... I know it was weird.. I don't know why I do it though.." I said while scratching my head.

She started to blushed when I told her about it.

"yahh... you're acting really weird at there.. I was surprised.. I also thought of a nickname for you too after that.." she said.

"a nickname? For me? What is it?" I asked her.

"it's umm..Taelien" she said then burst into laughter.

"what? I'm not an alien ! I'm a normal human being.." I said while looking at her laughing.

"from the first start I met you.. I already thought you are an alien for acting soo weird.."she said while laughing.

"yeah.. I know I acted weird with people these days.." I said and laugh with her.

After get to know her more, I felt more comfortable being with her. I want to stay by her side and see that beautiful smile all day long with her.
