CHAPTER 7: ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN

Jennie’s pov

It’s been a week since I worked at grandma’s restaurant. Today is the day that I’m finally gonna meet my friend Rose, a girl with long orange hair. We’ve become friend since we’re in kindergarten because our father are really close. But she have to move to Australia when we’re 15 because his father is opening a new business there.

I put on my coat since it’s snowing here and wear a red scarf around my neck to keep myself warm.

“grandma I’m going to meet my friend at the airport!” I shouted from the door and took off before my grandma respond.

“But jennie…” grandma said and let out a sigh.

I left before she respond because I know she wouldn’t trust me to go outside by myself. Taehyung have showed me the way to some place so I’m fine to go out alone.

I took a cab and went to Incheon airport.

At the airport,

I waited for rose to get off her plane for a few minutes and I saw her. She notice me from a distance and waved at me cheerfully. I waved back at her and started to run towards her.
But I felt that someone is grabbing my right hand. It was a guy who wore a black mask covering his whole face. He also wore a black gloves and a black coat.

“what are you doing? Let me go!” I yelled at him.

“you must be jennie kim, aren’t you?” he said

“what? how do you know my name?” I asked him.

But he ignore me and pulled me to follow him outside. The place is too crowded that no one notice me being dragged by that guy. I scream for help but everyone is too busy with their business. He covers my mouth with his hand and dragged me outside.
We were at the parking lot. Suddenly, he stopped walking. I was crying and my vision was blurry.

“let her go! “ a familiar voice said.

“what are you going to do if I don’t?” the guy said.

Then, he was punched and beaten by the person who came. I was free from his grip and ran away. I wiped my tears and I saw him. It was Taehyung who saves me. He was struggling with that guy. I grabbed a brick and throw it at the guy’s head . He was in pain and held his head which is bleeding. Taehyung kicked him and tackled him to the ground. He opens his mask and Taehyung eyes widened. What’s happening to him? The guy was passed out after he got beaten by Taehyung.

Taehyung grabbed my hand and ran away from the scene.

“how did you know I’m here?” I asked him

“are you crazy? Why did you come here alone and not tell me?” He said while gasping for air.

I looked at his hands, it was bleeding so does his lips.

“I’m sorry” I told him.

I grabbed a tissue from my bag and clean the blood on his lips and his hands. He just stood there quietly.

After that, I told him why I came to the airport and he just nodded.

“your grandma called me and said that you’re going here alone… why do you have to go here alone? Accidents may happen” he said.

“I never thought that someone will try to kidnap me today, plus I’m super excited to meet my friend, speaking about that let’s go meet her now!” I said and grabbed Taehyung hand and went inside the airport.

Rose was waiting for me next to a café. I ran towards her and hugged her.

“Chaeyoung ah~” I said while hugging her.

“Uwaa~ I miss you too jen jen!” rose said.

Then we let go off each other. We compliment each other and rose whisper to me “who’s that?” while pointing at Taehyung who’s been standing there for a while.

“rose, This is Taehyung, he’s my friend and Tae, this is rose , my friend” I introduced them to each other.

“HI~ nice to meet you, I’m Park Chaeyoung, but you can call me rose.” She said.

“hi, I’m Kim Taehyung, just call me Taehyung” he said. They bowed to each other.

“you guys hungry? Let’s go eat here” I said trying to make the situation better.

“sure” they said and followed me inside the café.

We ordered our food and rose talk about her experience living in Australia. Taehyung just nodded and kept quiet throughout the conversation.

Why is he being so quiet? I guess he’s just acting shy just like how I first met him.

I patted his shoulder and asked him “you okay?”.

He looked at me and said “I’m good” then continued eating his food.

What is he thinking? Is it about the guy who tries to kidnap me earlier?

Taehyung’s pov

I was just about to go to the grocery store to buy some food but my phone suddenly rang. Mrs.Kim called me.

“Taehyung is jennie with you?” she said in a worried tone.

“No, why? Did she said she’s with me?” I asked her.

“No, but she said she’s going to the airport by herself, I didn’t get to stop her, she ran away before I say so…” she said.

“don’t worry I’ll find her” I said then ended the call.

I have to stop my shopping trip and took a cab to the airport. Damn! This is the time when I really wish I have a bike.

When I arrived at the airport, It was full with people. I was running around looking for her. Then I heard a cry for help in a distance. I ran towards that voice direction and it lead me outside at the parking lot.
I was shocked when I saw jennie being held by a guy who’s wearing a black outfit there. I ran towards him and told him to let her go. Jennie was crying and she closes her eyes. She was scared that time.

“what are you going to do if I don’t?” the guy said.

I couldn’t held my anger and I punched him in his face and he immediately let go off jennie. She ran away quickly to the other side. The guy got up and pushed me to the hard ground and punched my face a few times. I was struggling to fight back.

Then, jennie came a throw a brick at the guy’s head and he was in pain. I took this chance to kicked him back and tackled him to the ground. I beat up his face until he stopped moving. I opened his mask and I know who is he. He’s one of the guy who work with Bang Shi-hyuk. What is he doing here trying to capture jennie?

I checked his pulse and he’s still alive. He just passed out for a moment. I immediately grabbed jennie’s hand and  ran away from the scene.

“how did you know I’m here?” she asked me

“are you crazy? Why did you come here alone and not tell me?” I told her while I’m still gasping for air.

I noticed that she’s staring at me. She took out a tissue and lean closer to me. She wiped the bloods for my lips and from my hands. I just stood there and let her wiped the bloods from my lips.

I told her how I know she’s here and she told me why she went here. She grabbed my hands and went inside the airport to meet her friend.
She introduces me to her friend and bowed to her.

Then, we went inside the café because jennie suggest us to eat together. I just can’t stop thinking about the guy who tried to kidnap jennie earlier and didn’t even focus on what is rose talking about.

“you good?” jennie asked me while patting my shoulder.

“I’m good” I said then continue to eat my food.

I need to talk with Taeyong. I can't let anyone harm jennie's life. Mrs.kim gonna be worried.
