CHAPTER 10: NEW YEAR EVE

Taehyung’s pov

Tomorrow’s gonna be a new year. I want to make some memorable  moment for today with jennie. I decided to bring her to Namsan Tower to see the fireworks from there. I went to the florist and bought a bouquet of flowers for jennie. I texted her and told her I’m coming to pick her up with my motorbike. The fireworks gonna start in a few hours.

At jennie’s house

I waited for her to come out from her house. A few minutes later I saw her wearing a thick jacket to cover herself. It’s still cold here.

She still looks beautiful even if she covers her whole body with that thick jacket. She waved at me and I waved back to her. I gave her the flowers that I bought and she smiled at me.

“this is so pretty. Thanks Tae” she said.

“you’re welcome. I’m glad you liked it.Now c’mon put on your helmet we’re going now” I said. I handed her a helmet.

She put on her helmet and we’re off to our destination. She hugged me tightly from the back.

At Namsan tower

“wow… you’re taking me here?” jennie said in amazed.

“yes, c’mon let’s go up there” I said. I grabbed her hand and pulled her into an elevator to go on top of the building.

She was smiling the whole time when we’re in the elevator. When we reached the top, both of us was amazed by the scenery from up there. We saw a lot of lights from buildings and stars that night.

Suddenly, jennie pulled my arms and pointed at the food stall there. I bought her a sausage and we ate it while enjoying the view. The fireworks gonna start in an hour. We went inside a merchandise shop and bought a lock to write down our name.

“Tae, let’s buy this one” jennie said. She held a heart shaped lock.

“sure, let’s get this one and we’ll put it at the gate” I took it and pay it at the counter while jennie look at the stuff around the store. I grabbed her hand and went outside from the store.

“let’s write our name on it” I said. I pulled out a marker pen to write our name.

“what do you prefer? TaexJen or T&J?” I asked her. She was thinking for a few seconds.

“can we write Taennie instead?” she said.

“Taennie? Well that’s new. I like it” I said then wrote it on the lock. I added the word ‘forever’ at the end. She smiled at me.

We went to the gate and locked it there. It’s going to stay there for a long time. I let jennie to put the keys inside the box they’ve prepared at there. We took a lot of pictures there.

Then, we saw a lot of people gathering near the gate to see the fireworks. I grabbed jennie’s hand and went near the gate to see it. All of them start counting down the clock to hit 12 a.m.

“10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!” everyone shouted including me and jennie.
