CHAPTER 8: MEET ROSE

After the trio had their lunch at the restaurant, They took a cab and headed to Rose’s aunt house. Taehyung helped rose carrying her bag into the cab trunk.

When they safely arrived at their destination, Taehyung pulls out his wallet to pay the driver, but rose stopped him and paid for the ride.

“consider it as a gift for helping me carrying the bag” rose said to Taehyung.

“you don’t have to, but thanks anyway…” Taehyung said and looked for jennie.

Jennie was wandering around the area and rang the bell.

Then, a woman came out from the house.

“who is it?” the woman said from the front door.

“it’s me, Rose, your niece..” rose said.

“you’ve arrived! Wait there for a sec, I’ll go get the keys for the gate.”

She went inside the house and grabbed the keys and opened the gate. Rose hugged her aunt and introduced her to Jennie and Taehyung.

“Auntie, this is my friend, jennie and this is Taehyung, Jennie’s friend” Rose said.

“Hi, nice to meet you, I’m Rose’s aunt, Park Amy, just call me aunt Amy..” she said with a smile and greeted jennie and Taehyung.

“nice to meet you too aunt Amy” both jennie and Taehyung said.

She invited all of them to come inside while Taehyung help carrying rose’s bag inside the house.

Jennie’s pov

When I first came inside the house, I was amazed by rose’s aunt house. It was full of sculpture and flowers. She’s an interior designer, no wonder her house is amazing.

I followed rose going to her room while Taehyung carrying the bag. I feel bad at him. He just fought a random guy and now he’s carrying rose’s bag. I stopped my pace and went to Taehyung.

“give me one of those bags, let me help you out” I said.

“what? no, I’m good… just go I’ll catch up with you later” he said.

“nope, I want to help” I said then grabbed a bag from his right hand and ran towards rose’s room.

He looks so confused when I left him at the back. I laughed a little and quickly went inside rose’s room. Rose looked at me and raised her eyebrow.

“did you just run?” she asked.

“yup, your house is so big it’s fun to run around the hallways” I said while gasping for air.

“You’re so weird, and why are you carrying my bag?” she asked and let out a chuckle.

She took the bag from me and start to organise her stuff. I helped her putting her clothes inside the drawer while rose organise her make up kit at her desk.

Suddenly, Taehyung came and put the remaining bag inside the room.

“is there anything else I can help with? You two seems busy” Taehyung said.

“nope, we’re good, you can wait downstairs, my aunt is preparing some tea” Rose said

“Alright then…” Taehyung said and turned his back.

“Oh yeah, thanks for helping me again today!” Rose said.

“It was nothing…” Taehyung said and went downstairs.

“jennie, I need to talk with you” Rose said behind my back.

“What is it?” I said.

She pulls me and ask me to sit at the couch inside her room.

“Real talk now, how did you met Taehyung? I thought you said you didn’t have any friend here?”

“Why? He’s been helping my grandma a lot lately, that’s how I met him” I said the truth.

“Really? He’s such a nice guy!” Rose said while shaking my hands. What’s up with this girl?

“are you two possibly be dating at the moment?” she asked while smirking at me.

“What? no, no… I don’t” I said. Why am I stuttering?

“Excuse me? Why not? He’s perfect! Do you want me to help you out?” she said while bumping my shoulder.

“you must’ve left your brain at Australia” I said.

“aww…you should really have a BF by now, it’s a normal thing for a teenage girl like us to date, so why not?” she said.

“I… I don’t wanna get hurt anymore…” I said and let out a sigh.

“Why? You still can’t forget about that douche bag? It’s an old story jen… let’s start a new one! “ she held my shoulders and shaking it.

“are you trying to make me throw up? Stop shaking me!” I said.

She let go off her grip and went back to her position. I lays my back at the couch and stare at the ceiling.

“I’m sorry, I’m just not ready yet” I said.

“That guy, he makes me have a trust issues towards guys these day… I want to find a person who’s truly love me for who I am, not a person who pretend to love for my money!” I said while massage my forehead.

“I’m sure you’re gonna find one soon” she said. While smiling at me.

“really? What if I made a wrong decision again? i don’t wanna get hurt anymore” I said.

“don’t worry, I’ll be by your side for the whole time… I promise to help you when you’re facing a trouble.” She said while holding my hands.

“thank you, for being my friend” I said then hugged her.

Suddenly, someone knocked the door. It was Taehyung.

“your aunt ask me to call you, she made some cookies” He said while rubbing his head.

“we’ll be there in a sec!” Rose said and grabbed my hand and ran downstairs.

Taehyung followed us from behind and walked slowly. At the kitchen, we ate aunt Amy’s cookies and had a little conversation with her. Soon, we decided to leave as it’s getting late.

Taehyung’s pov

I laughed seeing jennie running away with a bag in her hand. I walked slowly while trying to figure out why would they guy tried to kidnap jennie. When I arrived at Rose’s room I saw them busy unpacking stuff from rose’s bag. I put the remaining bags inside her room and asked “is there’s anything else I can help with? You two seems busy”

“nope, we’re good, you can wait downstairs, my aunt is preparing some tea” Rose said.

“Alright then…” I said and turned my back. I really don’t want to go there by myself. I’m not good at socializing.

“Oh yeah, thanks for helping me again today!” Rose said.

“It was nothing…” I said and went downstairs.

At the kitchen,

I saw aunt may pouring some tea Into a cup and invited me to have a drink with her. She ask me common question such as, ‘how’s school?’
‘how old are you?’ and ‘are you working now?’. Soon, her oven alarms rang. She grab a tray out of the oven using a kitchen gloves.

“can I help?” I asked her.

“sure, help me grab a plate to put these cookies, it’s in the drawer” she said.

I grabbed a plate and gave it to her. She thanked me and put all the cookies on the plate.

“Taehyung, go get the girls here, tell them I’ve made some cookies” she said. I nodded and headed straight away to rose’s room. When I arrived there, I overheard their conversation behind the door. I heard rose talking about me to jennie. What is she doing? She tried to make me and jennie a couple? I shouldn’t be hearing all of this. I was about to knock the door but rose said something that bother me.

“Why? You still can’t forget about that douche bag? It’s an old story jen… let’s start a new one! “ she said to jennie. What douche bag? What did he do to jennie?

I leaned my ear closer to the door and wait for jennie to respond.

“I’m sorry, I’m just not ready yet” jennie said.

“That guy, he makes me have a trust issues towards guys these day… I want to find a person who’s truly love me for who I am, not a person who pretend to love for my money!” she added.

“I’m sure you’re gonna find one soon” rose said.

“really? What if I made a wrong decision again? i don’t wanna get hurt anymore” jennie said. I’m not gonna let that happen to jennie, she’s a nice person.

“don’t worry, I’ll be by your side for the whole time… I promise to help you when you’re facing a trouble.” Rose said. I’m happy to see jennie have a nice friend beside her.

“thank you, for being my friend” jennie said. When they finished talking, I knocked on the door and opened it.

“your aunt ask me to call you, she made some cookies” I said while rubbing my head.

“we’ll be there in a sec!” Rose said and grabbed jennie’s hand and ran downstairs.

I walked behind them slowly while smiling at them, but they didn’t see it. At the kitchen, we ate aunt Amy’s cookies and had a little conversation with her. Soon, we decided to leave as it’s getting late.

We decided to walk to the bus station. Jennie was happily singing while walking along the road. I just followed her from the back. Then, she turned her back and faced me.

“umm.. Tae, can you do me a favour?” she asked.

“what is it?” I said

“can you keep it a secret? About what happened at the airport?” she said while twirling her hair.

“your grandma gonna kill you” I said then show her my tounge.

“yah! Taehyung, I’m serious right now! I don’t want grandma to get worried and banned me from going out again…” she said while pouting. She turned away and continue walking. I laugh a little.

“ don’t worry, I won’t tell her…” I said

“Really?!” she screamed and quickly facing me.

“yes, but next time please be more careful, bring some weapon if you need to” I said jokingly about the weapon.

“I’ll buy a gun if I have to” she said while making a fist.

“I don’t like people touching me, it’s gross. Especially a stranger like that guy” she added.

“is that so?” I said.

Suddenly, she pat her head and went closer to me.

“Tae, when you opened that guy’s mask, why does you looked so surprised?” she asked me. I waited a while to make an excuse.

“Nothing, the guy just look so weird I can’t believe he’s a human” I lied.

“Really? How does he look like?” she said while walking next to me.

“His face was so weird, if I tell you now he’ll come into your dreams” I teased her while making a face.

“Yahh!! Stop it, you’re being ridiculous!” she said then walked faster leaving me behind.

We finally reached the bus station and get on the bus quickly. We sat next to each other so jennie can avoid any weird guy in the bus. During the ride, jennie was sleepy and she lays her head onto my shoulder to sleep. I just let her sleep on my shoulder and keep glancing at her face. She’s so cute. I took my phone out and took her picture. I’m gonna show this to her when she woke up.

After a few minutes, we’ve finally arrived at the nearest bus station at jennie’s house. She’s still sleeping. I refuse to wake her up and gave her another piggy back ride to her house.
It was so cold out here. I rang the doorbell and mrs.Kim opened the gate for us.

“what’s taking so long? I’m so worried” mrs.Kim said while holding her chest.

“we went to her friend’s house, her aunt made us some cookies so we decided to stay for a while.” I said then headed to jennie’s room and put her gently on her bed.

“Oh my, look at this kid, she’s lucky that you’re here Taehyung… you’ve been treating her like a princess… if you’re not here she could’ve missed the bus station and won’t get home” she said while massaging her head. I just laugh at her.

“it’s okay, she have been a good friend for me… it’s nice to make new friend” I said and patted Mrs.Kim shoulder. She smiled at me.

“you know, I won’t mind if you want to be more that just her friend Taehyung” she said. I widened my eyes and started to blush.

“wh..what do you mean Mrs.Kim?” I asked her. She laughed at me.

“you’ve already know what I mean Taehyung” she said.Did she just gave a blessing to date jennie?

“oh.. okay.. then I’m gonna go home now, it’s getting late” I said and bowed to her.

“Okay Taehyung, be careful now” she said while waving at me from the front door.

I was walking alone to my house. Then, I heard a footsteps behind my back. Is he serious? He’s not even sneaky to stalk me. I turned my back and there he is, Taeyong.

“How’s you doing Taehyung?” he said.

“I was perfectly fine before I saw you” I said

“perfectly fine huh? Why? Is it because of that girl?” he said in sarcasm.

He must’ve seen me carrying jennie behind my back.

“what do you want Taeyong?” I asked him.

“I’ve told you already! I want you to join ‘us’ back, become a hitman again dude! We’ve been doing great that time! Why would you stop?” He said.

“I’ve told you already! I’ve lost my interest! I don’t my life to be associate with any of you people anymore! “ I said then turned my back and left him behind me.

“you’re gonna regret it Taehyung! We’re talking about the profit we’re gonna get! It’s worth millions! “ He shouted from the back.

I just ignore him and keep walking towards my home. it's no use talking to this person.

so, I'm back from my vacation. it was fun but now my money are gone. I spend it on a lot of useless stuff. smh.

just want to make some notes here. Eun bi the bully is not Eunha from gfriend. I made that character up. her name is Kim eunbi while eunha is jung eun bi. so no more misunderstanding. eun ha is a nice person in this story.
