CHAPTER 30: BACK IN SEOUL

After getting off the plane everyone stopped walking after grabbing their bags as they saw a guard lining up in front of them. Jin hide Jisoo behind him and everyone starts to cover Jisoo while walking. One of the guy came towards them as showed his business card. He’s the secretary of Jisoo’s family company.

“I’m sorry, but we’ll be taking Jisoo away now” The guy said. They refuse to move.

“It’s okay. I know this will happen. Now… give me some space…” Jisoo said and everyone walk a few steps away from her.

“Mrs.Jisoo, your uncle have been worried about you” He said and bowed to her.

“I bet he did. Let’s go” Jisoo said and walk away. All of the guards followed her from behind. The others were left stunned by their presence.

“Aigoo…how can Jisoo live like this? She’s literally being controlled by her uncle!” Lisa complained.

“Who knows what will happen at home…let’s go back to our house” Jennie said and everyone followed.

They went inside Namjoon’s minivan and he took all of them back to their houses. But Taehyung asked Namjoon not to send him at his house and drop him off at Jennie’s house instead.

After sending off Lisa,Jungkook and Jin, he finally reached Jennie’s house. Both of them thanked Namjoon for giving them a ride home and Namjoon drove back to his house. He’s tired after driving for so many hours these days.

Jennie knocked at the front door a few times and there is no answer. She knocked it again and there’s still no answer. They become worried.

“Is it locked?” Taehyung asked. Jennie tried to open the door knob and it was locked. Taehyung went towards a flower vase and search for something.

“What are you doing?” Jennie asked. He found a spare keys inside the vase and showed it to Jennie.

“Wah!! Genius!” Jennie cheered.

Taehyung quickly opens the door and the house was completely silence.

“Was she at the restaurant?” Jennie asked. Taehyung look at his watch.

“At this time? Probably not” Taehyung said. They heard a cough coming out from Jennie’s grandmother’s room and they ran towards the room. Jennie opened the door and saw her grandmother laying down on her bed while coughing. Taehyung was shocked.

“Grandma are you okay?” Jennie asked and was ready to burst into tears. She puts her hand on her forehead and feels her temperature.

“Grandma, your body is heating!” Jennie said.

“Let’s go to the Hospital! I’ll take you” Taehyung said and hold grandma’s hand.

“I’m okay. I already asked someone to take me to the nearest clinic. They say it’s just a fever” Grandma said and coughed.

“I already have all the medicine that I need. And I have drank a lot of water so I’ll be fine soon!” Grandma said. Both of them become slightly relieved.

“Oh, and another thing. Where have you two been? There’s a creepy guy came to our house and asked ‘where is your granddaughter ma'am?’ I said I don’t know and just ignore them” Grandma said.

“Ahh…about that…we’re actually trying to help Jisoo with…”

“With her project!” Taehyung cut off Jennie’s words. Jennie looked at him and signalled ‘what are you doing?!’

“A project? What kind of project?” Grandma asked.

“Actually…Jisoo needs to do a project at Jeju island, so we’re accompanying her to go there because she’s afraid to go there alone” Taehyung explained. Jennie raised her eyebrows.

“Jeju Island? That sounds interesting! What’s project is all about?” Grandma asked.

“It’s about interesting places in Korea! So she chose Jeju Island!” Taehyung explained.

“If that’s so…did you have fun Jennie?” She asked.

“Yes…I have a lot of fun! We took a lot of pictures too!” Jennie said and showed her grandma some of the pictures she took. She smiled looking at all of those pictures.

“You two must be tired. Go and take a rest. You can stay here if you want Taehyung” Grandma said.

“Thank you for your kindness, but we got school tomorrow and most of my stuffs are at my home so I have to leave” Taehyung said.

“Well, if you say so…now if you don’t mind I want to go back to sleep” Grandma said and lay back on the bed and went to sleep. Jennie and Taehyung left the room and walked into the living room.

“Why did you lie to grandma?” Jennie breaks the silent.

“Are you mad?” He asked.

“No, I’m just asking” Jennie said.

“She’s sick. I don’t want her to feel bad after knowing about everything that we’ve been through” He explained.

“She will be more disappointed if she knows that we lied to her” Jennie said.

“It’s not a big deal anyway!” Taehyung said.

“Whatever, I’m still going to tell her after she recovers. I don’t feel good lying to her” Jennie said.

“Sure, do what you want. You’re her family members anyway” Taehyung said and walks away. Jennie was confused.
‘is he angry?’ Jennie thought to herself. He left the house without saying a word. Jennie doesn’t have any energy to chase him and try to negotiate so she just went to her room and do her business.

-Taehyung’s POV-

My heart aches after seeing Mrs.Kim getting ill. I don’t want anything bad happens to her because she’s the only person who knows about the ‘real me’ and still accepts me. I still not sure about Jennie because she doesn’t know yet. Even if she knows…will she still treat me the same way. That thoughts always haunt me.

As I was walking on my way to the bus station, a footsteps came closer to me.

“It’s been a long time since we see each other!” Taeyong said while holding on my shoulder. I quickly reflects and pushed away his arms.

“Someone is not in the mood today.” Taeyong tries to get my attention but I just ignore him.

“So, where have you been these past few days? I have to admit I got lonely because there’s no one to diss around” Taeyong said and I just keep walking.

“Hey! Are you deaf?!” He screamed and I just ignore him.

“I know you went to Jeju Island!” He screamed and I stopped walking. He grinned after managed to catch my attention.

“What do you want?” I asked him. He laughed a bit.

“If you have nothing to say then just leave” I rolled my eyes and leave him.

“Bang Shi-Hyuk is not going to stop yet” He said and stopped my pace. I turned my back to face him.

“What did you say?” I asked.

“He really needs you to help him eliminate his new enemy. He’s been trespassing into his company and steals a lot of his documents and projects files. So he needs your help” He explained. I chuckled.

“Why would he needs me? He have you. I never kill anyone. You’re the one who ended their lives. I don’t want to be a part of these evil schemes anymore. I’ve changed. You should too!” I said and walk away. He laugh hysterically.

“Yah! Kim Taehyung! You’re such a funny guy! No wonder Jennie likes you!” He said and continue to laugh. I’m too tired to fight with anyone today so I fasten my pace and get on the bus quickly.

I took a shower at my home and put on my uniform to go back to work at Mrs.Kim’s restaurant. I took my bike and went to the restaurant. I walked inside the restaurant and some of these teenage girls keep squealing at my directions. I went inside the kitchen and help the chef with the works.

After a few hours, my shift finally ended and I help the staff to do some final work.

“Hey, why didn’t Jennie come to work today?” One of the chef asked.

“I don’t know…Maybe she’s at home taking care of Mrs.Kim” I said.

“Oh, right Mrs.Kim said she were sick. That’s explain everything” he said.

“I’ve finished my works already. See you tomorrow!” Taehyung said and went back home with my bike.

I finally arrives home at 9.00p.m and took a shower and brushes my teeth before i go to bed. I  went back to my desk and finishes some of my delayed homework. After finished doing that, I do some stretch up to help my sore muscles. I lay on the bed and checked out my phone. His phone blows up with notifications from ‘NINI’. I smiled a bit after realising that she actually cares about him. He opens the chat.

Nini: Taehyung? (5x)

Nini: Taehyung-ah! (8x)

Nini: Are you at work?

Nini: call me back when you’re at home.

Nini: I’m sorry if I had hurt your feelings.

Nini: Are you alive?

Nini: Taehyung~ (3x)

I laughed after reading her texts. Is she joking or is she serious? I don’t know. I left it on read and turn off my phone and went to sleep. I’ll try to be cool tomorrow.

-End of Taehyung’s POV-

At the same time, at Jennie’s room.

“Is he serious?! Or is he making jokes now?!” Jennie screamed in anger in her room.

“It’s not even cool! It annoying!” Jennie said and punched her pillows in anger. She threw herself into her teddy bears on the bed and hugged it tightly and screamed.

“Oh, This is so frustrating!” Jennie quickly sat back after screaming towards the bears.

"If he's trying to play hard to get then it's on!" Jennie said to herself.

I'm back! I been busy these past few days because i was trying to find a part time job...

I'm still trying for another place this sunday and i hope it went well🙏

And of course i heard the news about Jennie and Kai ended their relationship today. It's kinda weird because it was really fast.

And i remembered that everything happened because dispatch expose them...
