CHAPTER 9: DECEMBER FEVER

Jennie’s pov

It’s snowing heavily at korea right now. Everyone’s wearing a thick clothes and a big coat to warm themselves. Grandma said she’s not going to open her Restaurant this week because some of the staff is busy redecorating the restaurant and create new special dishes to the menu’s due to Christmas which is just around the corner.

I decided to bring grandma to a Spa today just to spent time with her. Taehyung didn’t come along because he’s busy hanging out with his friends.

“Grandma, how do you feel after being massaged?”

“I feel great actually, but why do we have to come here? We could’ve just stay home and let you massage me” she said while she’s resting inside a hot tub.

“I just want to hang out with you more, outside… after this we’re gonna go to some shoe-shopping, I’ve seen you wearing the same shoes when you go out”

“what’s wrong with my shoes? They’re lovely and comfortable”

“I know, I just want to add more shoes into your collection… you’re an owner of a restaurant! I want you to be a stylish business woman granny” I said while pouting.

“Okey then, I’ll just go along with you then” she said with a smile.

After that, we went to the nearest shopping mall at Seoul. I held grandma’s hand and took her to my favourite shoe store. i’ve bought A pair sandals and a pair of slingbacks for grandma. She chooses her favourite colour and I paid for it.
We also went inside some other store and bought some stuff. We walked around the mall and stopped in front of a Chanel’s store.

“Jennie, can you wait for me here? I need to go to the bathroom for a while…” she said.

“Sure, I’ll be here” I said. She gave me her shopping bags and went to the bathroom.

I’ve waited there for a few minutes and heard a giggles coming from the Chanel’s store. It was Eun Bi and her friends, they’re buying some stuff at the store. I tried to ignore them but one of them spotted me.

“Oh! Look at that Eun Bi, it’s that girl from the restaurant! Jennie Kim…” one of the girl said while hitting Eun Bi’s arm a few times. Eun Bi looked at me but I turned my face away. I don’t have a mood to talk with her anymore especially after what happens at the restaurant.

She always come to our restaurant every week and asking for Taehyung to get their order. It’s really annoying to me, I don’t how does Taehyung feel while facing the girls though.

Suddenly, she pat my back and pulled me aggressively to face her.

“What are you doing? I didn’t even bother you! So get lost!” I said.

“Omo.. look at this girl, she’s still being rude to me inside or outside the restaurant” she said with a smirk.

“I think she needs some lesson, isn’t it girls?” other girl spoke and all of them nodded. One of them took my shopping bag and opened it to see what’s inside.

“what is she doing buying a sandals? It’s even bigger than her actual size?” one of the girl said. Other girls just laughed at me. I just stood there holding back my anger.

“Hey, stop it… I bought those for my grandma, now give it back” I said.

They looked at each other and put the sandals back inside the box and throw it at me. The box hit my shoulder and fell on the floor. Everyone inside the mall was whispering at the back.

“why are you treating me like this?” I asked them still controlling my anger.

“Don’t you get it?! I hate you!” Eun Bi said. I was shocked. Why would she hates me? I didn’t do anything wrong.

“What? i… I don’t get it” I said.

“huh, you pathetic girl… I hate you ever since you worked at the restaurant! I saw you going out with Taehyung all the times! He’s mine! I own him! You can’t have him!” she said. Other girls just nodded.

“He’s not a stuff, you can’t own him. He’s a human.” I said while glaring at her.

Eun Bi was completely pissed at my respond and immediately slapped me at my cheeks. It hurts, but I’ve told her the truth. She need to face it. I held my cheeks as it starting to turn red.

“I don’t think that’s enough Eun Bi… she’s a stubborn girl.. she needs more” one of the girls said.
