CHAPTER 6: FIRST DAY AT WORK

The next day,

Jennie’s pov

I wake up early and put on a white blouse and a black skinny jeans. I’m going to work as a waitress today. I’m so excited to work for the first time in my life. I rushed to the door to put on my black converse .

I was shook to see Taehyung at our front door that morning wearing a white shirt with black pants.

“What are you doing here? And why are you dressing up like that?” I asked him while looking at him from up until down.

“Same goes to you, where are you going dressing up like that? Does your grandma knows about this?” He said

“Calm down you two, jennie you maybe not know this but now Taehyung is currently working at my restaurant as a waiter.” Grandma said.

“So… does that mean I’m going to work with him today?” I said

“Not just today but until Taehyung finally quit his job at my restaurant…”She said.

“Wait, she going to work too mrs.Kim?” Taehyung asked my grandma while pointing at me.

“Yes, is there something wrong?” She said.

“Nothing…” he said then smirked at me.

“What are you looking at?” I said

“oh.. nothing it’s just that if you’re going to work there you’re gonna be my trainee because I worked there longer than you… and that means I get to give you order to do work… isn’t that right mrs.Kim?” He said and my grandma just nodded.

“Grandma…” I said with a disappointed voice.

“oh it wouldn’t be that bad..” she said then smiled.

We get our stuff and went to the restaurant using the restaurant van. A worker at the restaurant is driving the van, grandma sat next to the driver seat while me and Taehyung sat at the backseat.

At the restaurant,

I walked to the front door and I was amazed by looking at my grandma restaurant growing into bigger business. It used to be a small restaurant with less table and the kitchen was small. But now it was big and somehow looks very luxurious.
I was interrupted when Tae showed up in front of me.

“What?” I said and let out a sigh. He just smiled at me.

“I’m gonna give you a tour around the place.. let’s go” He said then grabbed my hands. I don’t know why but my heart was beating so fast when he do that.

He showed me the kitchen area the customer table and he even gives me advice when facing customer with weird orders. I just listen to him and put on my name tag. It was written ‘Jennie Kim’ which is my real name.
Then, he introduces me to other co-workers at the restaurant. There are 3 chefs, 4 waiter and 5 waitress including me. There’s also other people working there.

After a few hours, we opened the restaurant and a lot of people are coming and the place become very busy. I was running around with my converse taking orders from the customers.

Taehyung patted my back. “ you good?”

“I’ve never been better” I said then continue my work.

After a few hours, a group of teenage girl around my age came inside the restaurant and sat on a big table. I went to their direction to take their orders.

“Hi welcome to our restaurant, may I take your order?” I said politely.

“I’m sorry, but I don’t want you to take my order…” one of the girls said. She was wearing chanel outfits complete with her purse and shoes. I can see that she’s a spoiled brat.
