CHAPTER 22: KNOWING YOU

All of the students are busy preparing for the festival which will be held in three days. The girls are divided into groups and starts giving each of them a list of food that they’re going to sell and other groups are given a task to decorate the whole school field.

Lisa and Rose are responsible for the decoration and Jennie and Jisoo are busy with preparing the foods.

“Lisa, let’s make a wishing tree next to our school sakura tree” Rose opposed.

“Sure, I think it’ll be nice and pretty… Some couple in this school might put some of their note to stay longer in their relationship right?” Lisa said.

“Yes, why did you think about some couple suddenly?” Rose asked.

“I just wish I can make those kind of things with my BF… but funny thing is I don’t have any..” lisa said and fake laughing.

After knowing that Rose and Jennie are dating Lisa starts to feel the need to have a BF too, but she doesn’t want to rush it. Some love takes time.

“I wonder what activities are going to be during this festival… I can’t wait!” Lisa said.

“Me too!” Rose exclaimed.

Meanwhile,

“Yah! Did you get the stuff?” Namjoon asked.

“Yes, I did… don’t worry… it’s going to be an epic performance!” Suga said while carrying a box full of fireworks.

“Be careful with that!” Namjoon said.

“I know… I know… I’m not a kid Namjoon…” Suga said and put the fireworks inside the school storage room.

“How’s the stage?” Namjoon asked.

“It’s almost done! We just need to wait for the lighting and sound equipment to arrive soon” Jungkook said while preparing the stage with other boys.

Namjoon was worried if the sound and lighting equipment arrive late. He kept looking around the area to see if there’s any problem.

“The games have arrived!” Suho said when a truck filled with arcade game arrived towards the school gate.

“Finally!” Namjoon said.

“Whoa! There’s a basketball machine, hammer game and look! A dance revolution machine!” Chanyeol said excitedly.

“This is just the game… we have plenty more activities…” Taehyung said.

“Ah, that’s right!” Chanyeol said.

The students work hard to prepare the festival until it was late evening. All of the students already went home except for jisoo. She’s still in the library studying for the upcoming exam which is a week after the Festival.

She stays there until 6.00p.m. Jisoo was shocked when she checked her watch. She immediately packed her bag and ran towards the gate.

“Aish, how can I stay there for too long? Look what happen now… I’ve already missed the second bus!” Jisoo said and massage her forehead.

“Aigoo… I’m so tired…” Jisoo said and walked towards the next bus stop.

She walked through empty streets and noticed a figure following him.

Jisoo’s pov

What is that? I think someone is following me… Aish… snap out of it! It’s probably your imagination!

I tried walking a few more steps but I heard some heavy footsteps coming towards me. I look down and fasten my pace.

Then, I bumped into someone that suddenly blocked my way. I looked up and saw a big guy standing in front of me. I looked behind my back and saw another guy wearing a mask. I was terrified by the situation.

“Yah! Little school girl! What are you doing here walking alone huh?” the guy in front of me asked.

“i…I’m walking home…” I stuttered.

“What? *chuckles* did you missed the school bus?” he asked and I nodded.

“I…I’m sorry that I bumped into you… I’ll be going now…” I said the walked pass him.

Then, he grabbed my arms and pulled me back to his direction.

“What are you doing?” I asked him.

“You know, education these days are important to get a good job… but that’s what they say… I know someone who’s been studying until degree but still unemployed… you know why? because people only look at your background to give you job… if you’re from a poor family, a big company wouldn’t even take you… that’s why that person is now opening a new business that he can earns money easily… you want to know what it was?” he asked.

I just keep quiet because I was too scared.

“He opens a night club in town and he became a rich person. He’s looking for another employee to work there… I think that you’ll be suitable for that position” the guy said after he looked at me from head to toe.

“I’m sorry, but I’m not interested!” I said and start pulling my arms from his grip.

“I don’t take 'No' as an answer miss…” he said.

Then, the guy who’s wearing a mask tied my hands and pulled me into another alley. I screamed for help but the guy covered my mouth with a handkerchief.

Then, I heard someone shouted my name from afar. It was Jin? He came towards me running and punched the guy in his face. I was struggling to release my hands from the rope but the guy gave me a shot and made me feel weak. I was on the ground because I can stand properly.

Jin was struggling to fight the other two guys. My vision was blurred but I saw him beating those two guys. I spotted another person came and helped Jin to fight those guys. A few seconds passed and I was completely unconscious.

Jin’s pov

Actually, I was in the library with Jisoo. I saw her studying for the exam. She was so focused that she didn’t even notice me. I was too tired from putting on the stage that I fell asleep.

When I woke up from my nap, I didn’t saw her anywhere. I quickly look at my watch and it’s already 6.15p.m. She must’ve left a few minutes ago. I quickly ran towards the school gate to find her. There’s no other bus left to pick her up. She must be walking on her own right now.

I was so worried about her. Then, I drove my car to find her around the streets. I lowered my window to look for her. After a few minutes I heard a cry for help. I immediately go towards the voice and parked my car at the nearest place.

I ran towards the voice and saw Jisoo being pulled by two guys into another alley. I ran faster towards her and shouted her name.

“Jisoo!” I shouted.

The guys noticed me and one of them came towards me but I managed to punch him the face. He fell down on the floor. I look at Jisoo and she was already on the ground. The guy have gave her a shot that made her sleepy.

He came towards me and i fought him back. I was struggling to fight him after the other guy got up to beat me. Soon, one of the pedestrian who walked by came and help me to beat those guys.
After a few minutes fighting, those guys were unconscious after I hit their head with a wood stick that I found. The guy who helped me took those two to the police station to report about them while I release Jisoo from the rope and took her to the nearest Hospital.

At the hospital,

I waited for a few minutes until the doctor came out from the room. I got up from my seat and went towards the doctor.

“How’s her condition Doctor?” I asked.

“Don’t worry, she’ll be fine soon. She’s been given a shot that people usually use to calm people… She might wake up soon… you can visit her in her room until she wakes up…” The doctor said.

“Thank you, Doctor” I said and bowed.

“Have you called her parents?” The doctor asked.

“Yes, I tried calling them but they won’t pick up… so I just left them a message…” I said.

“Oh, I think they’ll be here soon” the doctor said and left.

I went into her room and saw her sleeping soundly. I sat on a chair next to her bed and held her hand.

“please wake up quickly… I can’t wait to tease you again *chuckles*” I said. I must be crazy to talk all by myself right now.

“I know that you probably won’t hear this right now…but… I’m sorry… I’m sorry for treating you badly… I wish I could change the past but I can’t… I wish our parents are not competitor… I wish we could be friend…or more than that…*sigh* I like being around you jisoo… you’re such a bright and funny person… I wish I could hang out with you more.. but not in this condition… you look terrible…”

I look at her face. She’s really in deep sleep right now. I look at my hand until I realised that I’ve been holding onto it for too long.

“omo, I’m so sorry jisoo… this is embarrassing… I won’t do it again” I said then release my hand slowly from hers.
