CHAPTER 5: WHO'S COMING ALONG?

Jennie’s pov

After I ate dinner with grandma, I went inside my bedroom and called my sister Ara.

“Hi sis!”

“Hello~ how’s my little sister doing in Korea?”

“I’m doing good actually… and the guy that lives here he’s actually pretty nice to me”

“Ooohh… I smell something fishy~” She said making a weird noise.

“Don’t think about weird stuff okay? It’s nothing like what you think it is…” I said with an annoyed tone.

“okay, how old is he?”

“same as me”

“OOHHH!!!” she’s screaming to the phone.

“Yahh!!! What are you doing?? You could’ve make me deaf!”

“It’s okay, even if you’re deaf people still falling for you” She said and laughed at her.

“wow.. since when did you’re good at teasing people?”

“I learned it from my new friends…”

“you got new friends?!” I shouted.

“Yes, they’re really nice to me”

“finally my sister is not afraid of human being anymore”

“I’m scared okay, I’m just shy…” she said

“Oh yeah sis, there’s another thing I want to tell you…”

“What is it?”

“Remember Rose? Daughter of dad’s friend?”

“yes, what’s up with her?”

“She’s going to enrol at your school too!”

“Are you kidding me?! Why didn’t she tell me?” I was jumping on my bed excitedly

“idk, maybe she want to surprise you.”

Suddenly my phone vibrates showing someone’s trying to call me. It was TAE.

“oh well you look at that, he did have a phone…”

“what? who’s that? Are you gonna picked it up?” Ara was confused on the other side of the phone.

“nope, no one..” I put tap on the busy button and continue my conversation with my sister.

“When will she be here?” I asked her

“idk, you should call her”

“Then I’ll call her right now… bye sis, send my love from me to mom and dad..”

“Bye sis~ tell granny I love her” She said and I ended the call.

I quickly search for Rose name on my contact list and called her. She picked up.

“Hello jen?”

“Rose how dare you not telling me you’re coming here to Korea with me!!!” I shouted to her with excitement.

“Wait, you’re in Korea? How did I not know this?”

“wait I didn’t tell you?”

“Yahhhh!! How dare you didn’t even tell me you’re in Korea right now…” She said

“Yeah, just like you too..”

“urmm… yeah you’re right..”

“so, when will you come here?”

“Next week, I have to do some paper works at here first”

“Where will you stay?”

“At my aunt house… are you that excited to see me?” she said  while let out a chuckle.

“Ofcourse I have no friends here…”

“Don’t worry I’ll be there and accompanied you”

“Thank you, I’ll be looking forward for it..”

After a few minutes calling rose, I went to the living room to find grandma. I told her everything about rose coming to Korea. She was happy seeing me excitedly waiting for my friend to come and study here in Korea.

Then, I helped her to make some kimchi for her restaurant supplies. We make a lot of them.

“Phew.. this is tiring grandma, how did you managed to do this all by yourself?” I said while stretching my arms.

“I usually got a little help from Taehyung” she said

“Wow.. he really helped you a lot didn’t he grandma?”

“he does… he’s such a nice boy, that’s why I want you to treat him nicely..”

“But grandma.. how did you met him?” I asked while sitting near her.

“it was a long story my dear…”

“it’s okay I’ll wait”

“But I’m too old to tell bedtime story…” she said and laugh a little.

“grandma please tell me~” I said while clinging on her arm.

“oh my…” My grandma held her forehead and laugh seeing me acting like a kid.

I just laughed seeing her like that. This is the reason why I went here, to see her smile while I have still have my chance.

“Oh yeah grandma I am free tomorrow so can I help you out at the restaurant?” I asked

“are you sure?”

“Yes, it’ll be boring if I just stay at home until school start and rose to come here…”

“If you say so then sure you can come”

"yes!! thank you grandma!!" I shouted and hugged her tightly.

"oh my this kid, you're gonna kill me..." she said then laughed.
