CHAPTER 17: COINCIDENCES OR DESTINY?

Jennie’s pov

It’s weekend and my friends decided to hang out together at town to have some fun and forget about our problems. We decided to go out in a casual outfit. I combed my straight hair and put on some natural makeup looks. I greeted my grandma and kissed her cheeks when jisoo arrived at the front gate with her driver.

“Be careful sweetie…” grandma said and waved at me.

“I will… bye grandma~” I said then waved to her. I got into the car and greeted jisoo.

“Oohh… look at our jendeuki… you look so cute today… it’s a pity Taehyung can’t see you today right?” she said.

“What do you mean? I met him every day... He said he’s with the boys today… it’s been a long time since he’s hanging out with his friends…” I said.

The driver starts to drive to Rose’s place.

“He’s out today?” Jisoo look surprised. I just nodded.

“And why did you call me jendeuki?” I ask her.

“Because you kept clinging on me at school” she said.

“No, I didn’t!” I said.

“Then what are you doing right now?” she said. I look at my hands and I didn’t realise that I was hugging her arms in the car. I slowly release my hands and she laugh at me.

“Are you always like this with Taehyung? Oh my, so sweet….” Jisoo make fun of me and I slap her shoulder.

“Yah! Stop it!” I said and she just ignore me and keep laughing.

Soon, we reached Rose’s house and she came into the car.

“Hello everyone~” she said.

“Ayo Pasta!” Jisoo screamed.

“Pasta?” Rose was confused.

“I’m giving you that nickname from now on” Jisoo said.

“That doesn’t make any sense…” Rose said and they headed to lisa’s place.

Lisa was waiting at her porch. She was wearing a simple white shirt with a blue jeans. She even tied her hair into a ponytail style. She was jumping around when she saw us. She ran toward the car and opened the door.

“Let’s Go!” Lisa said.

“This girl is so happy today isn’t it?” I said.

“Of course I am… he finally wish me good morning today!” Lisa said.

“Who?” Jisoo asked.

“It’s jungkook” Rose answered.

“OOOOHHH” me and jisoo said in unison.

“He’s so hard to approach you know… I’m glad that he’s finally talking to me again…” Lisa said and smile widely.

“Good for you lisa” Rose said.

Then, they finally arrived to the famous mall in Seoul. The driver pulled up next to the road and all of us walked inside the front gate of the mall.

We bought the movie tickets and buy some popcorn and drinks. We’re watching Pitch Perfect 3 together. Soon, the movie ends and Jisoo kept complaining that she’s hungry.

“Guys… let’s go eat something I’m hungry…” Jisoo said while rubbing her tummy.

“But you just ate a box of popcorn and a hotdog in the cinema…” I said.

“That’s not enough! I need more!” Jisoo said.

“okay… let’s go find a place to eat first… then we’ll go shopping together!” Rose said. All of us nodded.

We walked inside a restaurant and sat at a table. The waitress came to take our orders. Jisoo kept repeating the word ‘Chicken’ so we ordered some spicy chicken and some other dishes. While waiting for the food all of us checked out phone to see if there’s any notifications then closed it.

“Taehyung hasn’t sent me any messages since this morning…” I mumbled but jisoo heard it.

“Really? That’s weird” She said.

“What? what is it?” Lisa asked.

“Nothing, it’s just he didn’t even texted me since this morning… did he broke his phone or something? He called me last night…” I said.

“Jennie… if you trust him you don’t have to worry about anything… I bet he’s having fun right now with his friends…” Rose said.

“Yeah… I guess so…” I said.

Then, the food came and we ate it happily. Jisoo ate most of the chicken and the three of us just eat the other dishes.

“Omo… this is so delicious…” jisoo said while smiling.

“Yah, stop it everyone is looking at you” I said.

“I don’t care” she said and continue eating.

I was about to drink my iced tea then I spotted someone familiar outside the restaurant. Taeyong? Is that really him. I tried to recognise him but someone walk in front of me and he disappeared. I got goosebumps and tried to call Tae but jisoo stopped me.

“What are you doing? No phone at the table” she said.

“I’m sorry but I need to tell him something…” I said.

“You can call him later. Today is our day, if you have any problem just tell us” Jisoo said.

“Okay…” I said then put my phone back inside my purse. This is weird. Why is he here? And why is he staring at me from outside? Taehyung was right! That guy is dangerous.

Taehyung’s pov

I woke up early this morning and went jogging with jungkook. We jog for a few miles then head back to his house. We clean our self and put on a nice outfit. I put my phone on the coffee table and went to the kitchen to get some snacks. Jungkook and I have been friend for a long time. I always come to his house if I need any help or anything.

Then, jungkook come to the kitchen and handed me my phone.

“Yah Taehyung, you forgot your phone” He said then throw it to me. I manage to catch it.

“Thanks dude” I said.

“you’re ready? Let’s go!” He said.

“Yeah let’s go now!” I said then grab my motorbike keys. Jungkook also have a motorbike so we went to town together using our own motorbike.

We waited for the other to come and meet at the café. Soon, they arrived with Jin’s car and walked inside the café. It’s beautiful and nicely decorated. I would love to take jennie here. We sat on a table that could fit all seven of us and ordered the signature dish.

“Because I am in a good mood today, the bill is on me!” Jin said and all of us cheered.

“I hope you have a good mood everyday” Jimin said.

“That’s right!” Jin said.

We kept talking about a lot of things and laugh at each other jokes except jin’s dad jokes. Only jimin laugh at his dad jokes. The food came and it smells delicious.

“This looks delicious!” I said.

“I can’t wait to eat this” Jungkook said.

All of us eat the food together and praise it.

“This is really the best” Jhope said while giving a thumbs up.
