CHAPTER 23: LOVE IS IN THE AIR

Jennie, Jisoo, Rose and Lisa came to school early and prepare the place for all the students to cook. After all the students came they ask each group to do their part in preparing the food.

Jennie and Jisoo are busy making chicken skewers and marinating the chickens for tomorrow. They have to make a lot of them because other school will gather here to celebrate this festival too.

Rose and Lisa were busy checking the sakura tree at the school garden. They’re making sure that there’s nothing wrong with the tree and making sure that people can have a picnic around the area safely.

The boys finally manage to finish setting up the stage after the sound equipment finally arrived. The games were here and they’re setting up a tent for people to play there.

“Jisoo, where were you yesterday? I didn’t saw you on the bus?” Jennie asked Jisoo.

“What? oh, yeah… I was staying late at school… I was busy studying for the upcoming exam…” Jisoo said.

“Exam? How can you think about exam right now? we’re gonna have fun tomorrow… cheer up Jisoo!” Jennie said.

“I know… but education is important too” she said.

“Yeah, whatever you said Jisoo” Jennie said while marinating the chicken.

Jennie notices that Jisoo had been smiling for 5 minutes. She became curious and hit Jisoo’s arm.

“What?” jisoo asked.

“I was the one who should’ve said that! What’s got into you? You’ve been smiling for 5 minutes now!” Jennie said.

“Why? I can’t smile?” She asked.

“It’s not like that! Why? did something happen? Huh? Huh?” Jennie said while poking jisoo with a chopstick next to her.

“Yah, stop it! It tickles!” Jisoo said.

“Then tell what happened” Jennie said.

Jisoo took a deep breath and exhale slowly.

“Well… Jin and I are officially dating” Jisoo said which made Jennie shocked. She can’t stop opening her mouth widely.

“You’re kidding right? You two are enemies…” Jennie hesitates.

“Nope, I’m not joking… this is serious…” Jisoo said.

“Wow… how ironic it is to see a boy and a girl who always fight ended up being a couple….” Jennie said then shakes her head.

“Yah, weren’t you supposed to be happy for me? I’m not single anymore!” Jisoo said.

“Who said I’m not happy? I’m your friend after all… of course I’m happy!” Jennie said then hugged Jisoo.

“Oh my, stop hugging me! your hands are full of those marinate sauce…” Jisoo said and Jennie just ignore it and continue hugging her.

Meanwhile,

“Sowon-ah!” Eunha exclaimed.

“What? why are you running?” Sowon asked.

“Did you heard about suga? He was chosen to join the famous sports University after he finished high school!” Eunha said excitedly.

“Really? That’s great!” Sowon screamed.

“But he have to win in more game for him to fill in the qualifications… if not… he won’t be joining that University..” Eunha said.

“What are you worrying about? Suga is a great player! I know he’ll get in!” Sowon said.

“There’s another thing you know… I heard that there’s an aggressive player at other school who got this chance too… I heard he’s a bit of a bully…” Eunha whispered.

“Really? What’s his name?” Sowon asked.

“It’s Johnny” Eunha whispered.

“I’m worried that he might hurt Suga just to get in that University…” Eunha said.

“Why do you worry so much? I’m the one who should’ve been worried!” Sowon said.

“I know you sowon! If someone you loves hurt.. you’ll be hurt too!” Eunha said.

“Stop saying that! I’m fine… I’m just going to help him to get in…” Sowon said.

“What? help him? You don’t even know how to play basketball…” Eunha said.

“How can you say that? I’ve been watching his games for a long time… I knew some great moves… just wait and see! By the way, when is the last game?” Sowon asked.

“The last game? I think it’s in 4 months from now. why did you ask?” Eunha said.

“Nothing… just curious…” Sowon said and left to the cooking place.

“Aish, this girl is so weird.. why is she even my friend?” Eunha said.

“Lisa, can you go to the storage room and find a rake? There’s so many dry leaves here!” Rose said.

“Okay, wait here I’ll be back!” Lisa said and ran away to the storage room.

Lisa’s pov

I ran as fast as I can to the storage room because I don’t want rose to be alone at the garden. I ran passed through a few hallways and bumped into someone. My head hurts and I fell on the floor.

“Aish, how can I be so clumsy?” I whined while holding my head.

Then, I tried getting up and apologise to the person I bumped into. It was a girl. But I’ve never saw her before.

“I’m so sorry… I was in a hurry… are you okay?” I asked her.

She was on the floor and all of her stuff are scattered everywhere. She seems hurt because she kept rubbing her ankle.

“it’s okay I was running around without looking at my directions too…” she said.

“Are you sure? You seems hurt? Here, let me help you out!” I said and pulled her behind my back. I gave her a piggyback until we reached the nurse room.
