CHAPTER 21: SAKURA FESTIVAL

It’s finally April in Korea. The Sakura season is near. Time sure went by fast. Everyone at school is busy preparing for the Sakura festival that they’re planning.

The girls are planning to put up some food stall and decorating the event location, while the boys are busy preparing for the performances and activities.

*At the meeting room*

“Jisoo, do you have any suggestion for the food we should sell?” Jennie asked.

“Hmm… for me I think it’s chicken skewers… I like that a lot…” Jisoo said.

“I knew she would say that…” Lisa said.

“Okay, that’s nice… anyone else?” Jennie said after she wrote the food name on a list.

“Chicken!” Jisoo shouted.

“Okay Jisoo, anyone else?” Jennie asked and Jisoo was already raised her hand.

“We should let others give some opinions Jisoo…” Rose said.

“If there’s a hamburger then I’m good” Jisoo said and Jennie nodded.

“How about some traditional dishes? We can’t forget our own tradition during the festival…” Eunha said.

“Right!” Lisa said. “I really want to try Korean dishes since I moved here” Lisa continued.

“Me too… my aunt keep making a lot of western dishes at home… I want to try Korean dishes too…” Rose said.

“Okay, I’ll put that on the list” Jennie said.

“We can sell some juice from fresh fruits…” SinB said.

“Well, how many fruits we’re talking here?” Sowon asked.

“I’m thinking orange, mango, watermelon, and apple…” SinB said.

“My parents have a watermelon farms… we can just take it from there..” Sowon said.

“Nice! Fruit juice it is..” Jennie said.

The meeting was held for a few more minutes until the list hit 25 types of different foods.

"that's a lot of food" Yuju said.

"well there's gonna be a lot of people during that festival... I think it should be enough" Umji said.

“This weekend we’re going out together to find these ingredients… and make sure the students who’s responsible for handling each stall were there to prepare the foods.” Jennie said. Everyone agreed.

“Except for me” Eunbi said. Jennie looked at her in the corner of the room.

“Why? what’s wrong?” Jennie asked.

“I don’t like hanging out with people like you… it’s such a waste of time…” Eunbi said then smirked at Jennie.

“Shut up Eunbi! We’ll go without you!” Jisoo snapped.

“Whatever, it’s not like I even want to participate in this stupid festival!” Eunbi said.

“Watch your mouth Eunbi, if you don’t want to cooperate then you can just leave!” Jisoo said. Eunbi became angry.

“Fine! I’ll go then!” Eunbi said then left the room. She slammed the door loudly. Everyone in the room is looking at Jisoo who’s disappointed at Eunbi right now.

“when will she ever change?” Jisoo mumbled.

*At the school hall*
